They're just fine, but be careful when assembling
I like these a lot, they serve my purposes perfectly well (using to cover raised beds during the winter where I have winter rye growing as a cover crop. Just to note: assemble carefully as they'll fall apart easily when moving them. And....BE CAREFUL (especially if kids help) that you maintain control of both ends when placing in the ground; I could see someone getting a stick in their eye, as it could easily whip around and nail you. Just be careful, and you'll be fine, but I wouldn't let children help putting them in the ground. You'll see what I mean when you start working with them.

Everything you need!
This is a great product. Poles were so easy to put together. Threw this up fairly quickly. Used plastic industrial trash bags cut and laid on top. I also used some plant twine across the tops of the hoops for the plastic to lay on to form the “greenhouse”. The green clips are fantastic and they fit well and tight to hold the plastic in place. I put the hoops about 2’ apart and it covered my 8’ section of raise beds perfectly with about a 2’-2.5’ clearance over the soil. Perfect for my plants to start germinating and protect my already transplanted plants from the cold.

Worked great for what I needed, but they break after a while from UV's
I planted some flowers too late in the spring and needed to protect them over the summer. I purchased these and an airy tarp, and the flowers were incredibly happy. When it was time to take it all down after a few months, I found that some of the rods had splintered and split. There were still somewhat holding things in place, but they could not be reused. If you just need something temporary, then these will suffice. However, if you have a more permanent application in mind, you might need to try a different brand.

Easy way to set up a temporary hoop house
Started way too many perennials indoors and needed a temporary hoop house for a month or two before planting them in the ground. The stakes were easy to assemble and install in my 4 foot raised beds - I used 3 hoops per bed. Covered initially with plastic and switched to a frost cloth on cold nights. Sturdy enough for my needs given the beds are in a sheltered location on the side of the house. My only recommendation is to wear safety glasses when installing in case one of the pieces comes apart

Protect plants
I like that it’s bendable and easy to put together and use. I believe that it is adequate to accomplish what I need, which is to keep my chickens out of my garden bed.
