I loved the fact that it doesn't take up too much space and is light yet it has everything in it to measure. No more billions of cups needed for baking/cooking anymore. Also, the delivery was super quick! Came the same day :)

It's true that the second and third photos from the ad are like the actual product, but the ad overall is misleading as the main photo is different (white instead of silver). I chose the product because I liked that specific look. Since most people buy this especially for its looks, I think that is essential.Also, it came packaged in nothing but a plastic bag, so it was deformed and I had to fix it.

I have been using a Tala measure for many years. I use it daily and of all my kitchen equipment it is probably the most useful. This is the 4th one that I have bought in the last, probably, 50 years.I would be lost without it.

I love this ! I use it to measure both wet and dry ingredients and it’s perfect. Today I used it to bake my challah bread for my new year (Jewish) and it came out perfect , so measurements etc are spot on with this. So easy to just have one item like this, I don’t like scales and don’t have a separate measuring jug for liquid , and now I don’t need as I have this tala measuring cup. Has many different measures , including cups ( US and UK), ounces and much much more ! Easy to clean and store . Get it , you won’t regret!

Do not understand why people moaning at all about this very useful item. Mine came very promptly ( to replace a vintage model given by a friend) with a charming and informative label with complete care instructions so problems of rusting should not apply. Design has not changed over many years. Liquid ingredients can be measured but bear in mind if you leave to stand it is flagged up the item will leak , but why should you want to when measuring a recipe ? And why would you want to put such a small easy to clean item in the dishwasher ? (It is not dishwasher proof )The price was incredible - I had almost bought an identical item on a flea market for £7.00 which was scratched and slightly rusted - the price of £5.82 delivered was a no brainer. As long as you look after this item will last for years. The firm that make this item are UK based too. No longer will I be messing with converting imperial to American cups. Highly recommend.

this is such a useful measure, I already have one but bought this to add to my granddaughters Christmas presents to use at her home. She loves helping me bake and this measure is really handy, saves getting out the kitchen scales. Just add ingredients, as shown on the guide inside the measure, to the desired quantity then tip into the mixing bowl. Very simple to use, easy to clean and takes up very little space in a cupboard. Can't recommend it highly enough. And of course Tala have been making kitchen equipment for decades so a good quality, value for money item.

I first spotted these in a shop at a trendy seaside town at close on twice the price these are sold for on Amazon. Whilst both my wife and I baulked at the actual price we loved the retro looks and of course the practicality.So when my wife spotted this on Amazon she bought two. One for her and one for our daughter as she now has the joys of making home food now she has babies to feed.Primarily it is a simple way to measure without using a set of scales. Dry food mostly, but as Tala state on their website you can use it for liquid if you immediately pour it out into the bowl, as this is not leak proof and being tinned steel will rust if left wet. Also, no dishwashers. Hand wash in ordinary soapy water and then dry out.What it is though is easy to use and quick. Old fashioned but brilliant. And best of all made - yes, actually made - in England.

There's been one of these in the house since I was a child (and I'm seriously old). Had to buy a new one only because my old one got lost when moving house. Was very tempted by the black modern one (which has things like quinoa and couscous in the measuring panels) but stayed with the familiar retro measurements (custard powder, raisins, semolina - mmmm). Will probably buy the modern one too, actually. Everyone should have one.
