Leaves a ring on your bee-hind if you're a big guy.
I bought this as a replacement for my "stock" cushioned lid on the bucket of balls we bought from a local sports retailer. I assumed this one would be cushier and more comfortable. However, if y'all got a big butt, like me, or you're heavy, like me, then this thing is gonna leave a ring imprint on your derriere when you get home and check your behind out in the mirror. The problem is that they put a nice thick cushion on the top of the bucket, but to hold it in place, they attached a plastic edge to keep it from getting ripped or torn off. Which is all great and fine if you have a nice little butt, or you don't weigh but a feather. Your behind will fit nicely inside the ring, all comfy-cozy on the cushion. For everyone else in the all-about-that-bass world, that plastic ring is going to cut right into your behind and leave a nice mark. Not comfortable.Having learned my lesson, I went back to the original cushioned lid. It may not be as thickly cushioned, but the ring that holds it in has a good 3/4" to 1" edge to it, which means my butt don't got no ring when I get home. I'll take it.

Perfect Fit for the bucket I already had!
My husband coaches 12u Softball and was looking to get a bucket with a seat. He already was using a 5 gallon bucket that he had from work but was looking to get something he could sit on. We browsed Amazon for a while and compared reviews when this popped up in a "you also may like" section. You mean to tell me that we can JUST by a lid to fit the bucket we ALREADY have?? And it has a nice cushy seat? For a fraction of the price? You really can't lose! It fit perfectly, no issues snapping it on, or taking it off and the seat part is nice and cushy. Will it wear out quickly? Who knows! But it looks similar to the one that his other coach has been using for years. Only time will tell. However, even if it only lasts for a season or two, it was an inexpensive find and was just what we were looking for!

The glue didn't make it through the summer in this cool climate, and it's painful to sit on
This seat has never been comfortable. The "cushion" is cut from a thin sheet of closed-cell foam barely proud of the bezel when not in use; when anyone sits on it, their weight compresses the padding well shy of the top of the hard plastic bezel, making it quite painful around the edges. A thicker piece of foam *might* have worked better. However, that isn't its only flaw. By the end of summer, the glue had failed 98%. It's barely attached in the middle. I'm afraid to sneeze on it.The best I can say about this bucket lid is that it has kept moisture and dirt out of the bucket.

Perfect Lid
These snap on great, seal well, and are pretty comfortable. I have 2, on on my baseball bucket and siting to throw front toss for an hour, pretty comfortable. The other I deal my Wood Pellets for the smoker, works well.Fits perfectly on the Home Depot (Texas Flag version and Orange Version, HA) so assuming it will fit most of not all 5 gallon buckets. It will NOT fit the Yeti Buckets that just came out. It actually fits in the rim, and still works as a seat, but it doesnโt clamp on, so it will fall off if it turns over.

Sit down, take a load off
Sure you can turn the bucket over for a seat, but what about the stuff inside? Or perhaps the stuff hanging off the sides? Why dump it out to have a seat? I thought about this as I bought a 5 gallon bucket and added a canvas tool bucket caddy to wrap around it. Figured it would be an awesome 'all in one go-to bucket' for gardening, and another one for plumbing, or whatever. Maybe a little "on the go" party bucket--always have some drink/snacks and a place to sit at a backyard barbeque. So many ideas forming just with the addition of a piece of plastic. That is when I made purchase of the worthwhile addition of the padded bucket lid. For ten bucks, you get a securely fitting bucket lid that doubles as a decent seat. Lightly padded, it adds a *tiny* bit of cushion and strength to an already sturdy lid. It's no lazy-boy recliner, but it sure feels nice to take a load off. Really, can't go wrong with this product.

Great bucket tops with one exception...
Good quality seat cushion but rim around pad protrudes too much making seat uncomfortable. The rims ends up digging into your rump pretty bad. I have plan to remove the rim with my dremmel one of these days. I will report back once finished. I assume that should make these bucket tops perfect!Overall very pleased with my purchase! ๐๐

Built for speed, not for comfort...
Gift for a loved one. Arrived promptly, adequately packaged, and as described. It serves well enough as a lid for the bucket, but much less desirable as a seat. It's hard to tell from the seller's picture, but the "cushion" is effectively about 1/4" to 1/8" black plastic foam pad. And there's a hard plastic lip around the foam that can't possibly be comfortable on the backs of your legs after more than a few minutes. Not impressed--especially for the money.

It is aa good concept
My intention was to get a cover that doubled as a seat for my Yeti five gallon bucket. It does have a padded area but the hard plastic rim comes in contact with my rear at the same time. The padding should be at least a quarter of an inch thicker or the rim less pronounced. I was looking for a watertight lid. This is not water tight as it fits inside of the mouth of the bucket and water can come in thru that area. It is usable and a good concept. Just not quite what I was looking for.
