Sage - 58mm Naked Portafilter - Compatible with Sage Dual Boiler Espresso Coffee Machine

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this bottomless portafilter to go with my Sage dual boiler machine because supposedly it helps you get a visual check on how the water works it way through the grind and comes out the bottom.Well… that and it looks pretty cool.It’s a high quality product and a nice to have. It does indeed allow you to take a look at the extraction as it happens and I must say is also easier to keep clean that the one with the two spouts.If you have the money, it’s a cool thing to have.

It feels good in the hand, it’s the right weight, there’s nothing sharp to cut you with and the spring clip stays in. Pay the extra money and get it over the cheap ones.

The naked portafilter let’s you see all the horrible channeling that was hidden by the spouted portafilter that came packaged with your machine. I’ve improved my puck preparation and espresso recipe development by leaps and bounds. Now I have a gorgeous, gooey output that’s worthy of Instagram. I will add that this product is reassuringly heavy-duty and fits the Dual Boiler perfectly. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a reasonable price for this product anywhere - I paid $130 CAD which is very, very steep.
