This was iust what we needed go restring my son’s FAVORITE baseball glove. The leather is high-quality and the color made the glove pop.

It apparently served the purpose and holds the glove nicely together.

I spent a good 30 minutes trying to force the knot and loop thru the hole when, as I had never strung (restrung) a glove before. But once I realized I needed to pull it thru rather than push, it was much easier.That said, my glove is 20 years old and the new string has greatly improved the fit of the glove on my hand.

These lacing kits are great for most repairs and in many cases they contain enough lace to do an entire glove. The Rawlings (Tanner's) laces are very sturdy and the range of colors allows for almost unlimited customization of your glove. But I primarily order these kits to get the u-wire lacing tool that comes with them. It's great for getting laces into smaller holes or when running two strands of lace through a single hole. They will usually bend a bit as you work them through, but you can easily bend these wires back into shape. However you don't have the problem of laces popping out like you do with the perm-a-lock needles. And they are especially useful with 1/4" lace which can sometimes be a bear to work through webbing and smaller holes.A trick I like to use when threading the wire is to trim the corners around the hole after I insert the u-wire (see photo). This allows the lace to be pulled more easily through tight areas.

Good product. The gold laces are thick and fresh. Smell good fresh leather! I highly recommand those laces. However, I ordered the tan lace and I had to return it. They felt dry and not thicker as the gold one....They also comes (tan laces) in format of 4x72 inch 3/16.....The gold one comes in format that I prefer : 3 x 72 inch 3/16 and 1 x 72 inch 1/4. UPDATE: I give a try to the tan laces by reorder it, and this time they come as advertised 3 x 72 inch 3/16 and 1 x 72 inch 1/4. But they really felt dry, I had to rub them with lexol conditionner. Just enough laces to relace my father's entireglove.
