BUONGIORNO ITALIA! COURSE BOOK (NEW EDITION)

I went to nightclass over 10 years ago using the earlier version of this course. We ran out of time before we completed it unfortunately, but I kept the books and the tapes. Having rediscovered them I decided to update the book - not lire anymore of course - and started again. I also got the CD's to replace the tapes and they help considerably. It is amazing how much I actually remembered and the book is very similar to the earlier version but better set out, obviously more modern and I am thoroughly enjoying learning again. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is keen to learn this beautiful language, if you are undecided about the CD's, buy them, they are so helpful and fun too - dont know when I will use the language, but loving the challenge and the achievements.

I'm using this book for an Italian conversation group that I have recently joined. I'm finding the accompanying CDs difficult to follow as the speech is so fast! Hopefully it will get easier in time. The book is easy to follow but I have a long way to go yet. Hopefully it will help me to be more confident next time I visit Italy.

I've just started an Italian Beginners course, which is based on the early chapters of this book. We're only up to page 27 in the class so a bit too early to go the whole hog and give it 5 stars but so far, so good - it's easy to follow, well laid out and some interesting background information about Italy too. Looking forward to putting it all to good use on my next trip to the Amalfi Coast...Fantastic service too - ordered Friday evening, delivered Sunday morning!!

This was perfect for my Italian classes! & it was a must have to continue with the learning. I was really happy that I could get this within 24..I was that much in need for this book. This book is perfect for beginners! But its also good to get a dictionary too!

The book was of used quality, which was fine for me, i was more interested in the contents. Unfortunately, this particular educational book had questions and revision activities which the previous owner had all filled in in pen :( Hence the 3 stars. Otherwise, delivery, packaging etc were excellent.

What is good about this book is that it concentrates on the sort of phrases and language that you need to know just to get around.

I bought Buongiorno Italia! as it is a text used in an Italian language class I'm hoping to join at a later date, but the layout is so confusing and very difficult to follow. The CD audio clips are very difficult to work out which goes with what dialogue as it's not clear from the text. You have to keep flipping between the unit and the back of the book to read the grammar and pronunciation notes and the text is small. The whole set up is confusing, bitty and just plain not easy to follow. I definitely would NOT recommend this Italian language programme to anyone. Although I've already bought and paid for this text and accompanying CDs costing over £30, I'm looking for a different Italian programme to use.
