GROHE47450000 | Thermo-Element

This is a genuine Grohe replacement part. And you can tell by the build quality. After 15 years or so of use, my original aquadimmer mixer developed a small leak, seepage really. Who would of thought I could get a manufacturers replacement after all this time? Well I am glad I could. It only took me about a hour to replace the old one. Now its working perfectly again.

Tricky to fit. Had to remove the shower panel to get access to it fully. But easy to install when you take it all apart...it just slots in. Orientation does not matter as you rotate the control knob to suit. Expensive but good quality and last one was 20 years old.

This was easy to it into my Grohe Automatic 2000 shower unit which had stopped maintaining a constant temperature. No detailed fitting instructions but there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to do it. It's pretty simple anyway - all you need is a screwdriver and a spanner. Undo the tap, unscrew the old thermostat, screw in the new one, put the cap back on, adjust the temperature and you are good to go. The thermostat even comes with a small container of grease so you don't need anything else.One star missing because it doesn't have IKEA style fitting instructions and it is quite expensive too.The last one lasted about 6 years in my hard water area. In theory you can descale the old thermostat and extend its life a bit, but the family wanted "a working shower now".

In 2000 I fitted a Grohe shower mixer. Last year, after 19 years of daily use, the tap developed a leak. I contacted Grohe and sent them a picture of the fitting. They came straight back with the information that it was a 'Grotherm 3000, model number 19663000' and the part I needed was a 'Grohe - Friedrich Aqua dimmer Cartridge 15 x 21'. I purchased this and replaced it without any problems at all. After a few months, and with this experience in mind, I decided that the thermostatic switch was not keeping the temperature constant enough and was taking far too long to come to temperature when switched on - so contacted Grohe again and was told this time that the part I needed was the 'GROHE 47450000 | Thermo-Element'. Again, this was purchased from Amazon and came complete with a blow-out diagram and a small sachet of silicon 'grease' with which to lubricate the washers before fitting. The only other thing required here was a 24mm spanner. So glad I fitted a superior quality Grohe shower in the first place. You're not likely to see that kind of longevity with a cheaper alternative, let alone the ability to purchase and replace parts nearly two decades later! Fantastic!

Works well. My old one would either get too cold or too hot and had been in for a good number of years. This is an exact replacement. Very good unit!

La foto risulta "schiacciata" e non rispetta le proporzioni del prodotto. Sostituito facilmente e perfettamente funzionante

Pièce commandée pour remplacer le robinet thermostatique Grohe type 3000 vieux d'environ 20 ans. C'était bloqué en eau plus ou moins chaude et impossible d'avoir de l'eau froide. Le remplacement s'est effectué facilement, la pièce est livrée avec un sachet de graisse. Pour finir j'ai pu régler la température à 38°. Plutôt rassurant de savoir qu'on trouve toujours des pièces de rechange 20 ans plus tard.
