itz big and the lid is VERY secure and tight.however, it says it will hold 33 gal trash bag.I find that the 33 gal trash bag is not Tall enoughso if you put anything heavy the trash liner falls down.it fits nicely around the rim but I've switched to the larger 55 galtrash bag which overlays and is long or tall enough to not slipout of position.I bought this so my dogs don't get in the trash.

For a garbage can, it is really well made and nice looking. I needed something to put recycling in, but didnt want a regular trash can sitting out. This is a good compromise as it is nicer than a regular trash can.

Ordered 2 for our deck -- one for cardboard to burn, one for recycling aluminium cans. Old round plastic cans worked but were an eyesore. Easy to move but seem very sturdy. Read the measurements --I'm tall and have a long reach but if you're short and need to reach to the bottom, good luck. Longer barrel liners work fine in them if you need a can liner Have gotten a few compliments on them as they are nice looking. One lid fit perfectly -- easy to open, but not enough to fly off in the wind. The other caught and needed a substantial tug to open. Wasn't going to work for me, so I simply filed the opening down to loosen a bit. The square tops are slightly domed (to shed water and add style?) But I wish they were flat so I could add a potted trailing plants or decor. Otherwise, very happy with them.

I'm using this to place a leaf blower and cord on the porch. All winter long leaves keep collecting outside the front door. So I wanted something somewhat decorative to hide the blower to save me the pain of getting the cord and blower out of the garage taking to the porch blowing off the porch the putting everything back in the garage. Well this not only looks handsome, but save me a lot of time.

I'm always surprised at how expensive trash cans are! I have this on my small front porch to receive packages and it works fine, though not all packages will fit. Put some bricks in the bottom to weigh it down. Has proven water and weatherproof so far, and we've already had sleety snow, a "blizzard" (8 inches which is nothing to some folks!), and a few times where it wouldn't stop raining for a full day or two.
