For My Grandchild: A Grandparent's Gift of Memory

The book is very well laid out with good content but it has the AARP logo stamped all over it (inside and outside) which takes away from the sentimental value and look of the book. One logo on the inside would have been sufficient but 3 or 4 logos is overboard marketing.

My mother was recently diagnosed with dementia with lewy body disease. She no longer can live on her own and we had to place her in a nursing home. I bought this book so I could ask her the questions about her life and record them for her grandchildren to read someday when she is gone.It has caused us to draw closer, working on the book and we have fun doing so. I am also a grandmother to the same grandkids so I will write down her answers and leave some room for my answers. It will make a wonderful gift for the kids someday.

Since I have 3 grandchildren and they are all siblings I purchased 3. The book starts w/my life as I am their paternal grandmother. The book is very well made and there are blank pages for pictures and memetos. Regarding the ancestry of my family I was able to go back to my grandchildrens great, great grandparents and how they come to America. At first I only purchased two for my granddaughters but after the books arrived I ordered one for my grandson, as he is the last male to carry on the family name.I was very impressed with this book and highly recommend it.

Do not like that it has AARP in RED on top of the cover. Returning this item. Very disappointed!

Very comprehensive but limited space on pages. Might want more room for more "story". The book has everything you need to do a history. Absolutely the best book for a grandchild I've ever seen.

I can't wait to start reliving my life for my grand daughters in this book that just about relays my history to them and up to the time of the writing. Everything will be in my own handwriting and the story will be mine which I know the girls will love. What a fantastic idea - I love these books. Ordered 2, one for each grand daughter.

I can't wait to write in this book. It will give my grandchildren the opportunity to know their Nana in a different way. I'm giving the books to the family instead of to each grandchild.

I like that the book aides you with the questions and scenarios to write about areas and remembrances you may not have thought about unaided.

A lovely book with good prompts, but is more for an American audience with American English spellings and words and sections about which presidents you’ve voted for etc.
