So its not lotion?
As stated by... like... most of the other reviews... this is not a lotion per se. Its a toner. And so its not something I would normally use. But my wife tried it and reported that it is indeed a VERY high quality product with great skin benefits for keeping her moist. Sounds terrible to me but then again I am actively at war with my own skin so take what I say with loads of salt. The two pack has been lasting a long time. A little goes a fair way and it is reported to me that it lasts a long time as well. I think if you are interested in a serum/toner then this is a great product. Its just too bad that is not what it is being sold as.

Excellent product, excellent hydrating, excellent ingredients
Hada labo gokujun used to be my first choice whenever I felt my skin is drying during the winter. But when I found out it contains several ingredients that I didn't like (I am not talking about the Premium version, I am talking about the blue bottle - normal version from 10 years ago) then I stopped use it, but recently I found out it has improved ingredients with the Premium label so I gave it a try. It's well beyond my expectation and I love it. So let's talk about this amazing product.Ingredients:It's a practically the soup of emollients & humectants & - hydroxyethyl urea, PPG-10 MG and really interesting hyaluronic acid derivatives. It literally contains 7 different kinds of hyaluronic acids with different functional groups and molecular size. Other than this, it contains several polymers for the texture and it used phenoxyethanol as preservatives if it concerns you. It's just too good to be true for this price. Definitely, it's very satisfactory when you consider the active ingredients, but still be aware of the phenoxyethanol if you are looking for a super clean products.Texture:It has relatively thick texture when you consider this as a toner - but I believe it's more serum rather than the toner and it contains enough ingredient to hydrate your skin fully. Especially if you have dry skin, this will be a holy grail since it gives hydration from really deep inside without any texture of oiliness.Effectiveness:Holymoly, it hydrates skin very well, I mean literally so quenching from inside and leaves outside of your skin relatively satin. It's so great, so if I could give 10 star, I would give 10 star. I am a hardcore Korean beauty product reviewer (If you check out my review history, then you would see) but I didn't find any product that can substitute this rich toner for hydration.Tips:You can layer this for further hydration and you can add some vitamin C powder to enhance the brightening effect of this already amazing toner. It melts vita-C powder very well!!Buy, just buy. You will know what I mean if you have dry skin. If you have oily skin, then I would go more refreshing texture toner!! anyway extremely satisfied.

Well-known serum for good reason
First of all, as some other reviewers have mentioned, the consistency and usage of this product is somewhere between a serum and an essence. "Lotion" as used by Asian beauty brands often refers to serum, not to thicker moisturizers that American buyers would think of. That being said, this is a great product to add to your daily routine if you want to boost your skin's moisture. It's easy to apply and lightweight, dries down quickly, and one bottle lasts a long time. Use after cleansing and before adding thicker (traditional) moisturizers, and it will give an extra layer of bouncy hydration to your skin. Hada Labo is a well-known, quality, yet still affordable, brand, and this two-pack is a fairly good value price-wise. The product seems to be legit from this seller as of this review. This would be a good intro if you're looking to get into Asian beauty, or if you're already a fan and want another reliable staple to add to the rotation.

More of a Serum Than a Lotion - Sticky At First then Soft
As a lifelong user of Japanese skin products (shiseido), I'm always looking for other options at a lower cost point. This Hada Labo lotion (not really a lotion, it's more of a gel-like serum) is a lightly scented (citrus or slightly organic sour scent, that dissipates when dry) serum that applies easily but takes longer than usual to absorb into the skin. I have to wait 3 to 5 minutes before I can apply any other products to my skin to allow this product to be absorbed completely. It does leave my skin feeling moisturized and smoother, and seems to lessen the appearance of larger pores. With two bottles (larger than most serums), at $30 (price at time of review), this is a very good value and will last a long time. I have begun to use this on my elbows and knees where my skin is drier, and it's working well at softening the skin there. I have also begun to add it to a general skin lotion (lubriderm) to give it an extra boost, and my skin seems to agree with it.

Premium Hyaluronic Acid
This hyaluronic acid serum is one of the best I've tried. It's thick, but not sticky, so it layers well with other products and makeup. It's also fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, making it a good choice for sensitive skin. It's made in Japan, which gives me peace of mind knowing that it's high quality. No downside I've noticed with the product itself, only gripe I can think of is the entire package/bottle is in Japanese, no English on it.
