Nicer in person. I am so pleased that I am getting a second one.

Lightweight, not good for anything of weight. Just hats, scarves, and light jackets. I'm not trying to hang barbells on this thing but a hydration pack should not cause it to lean or fall over.

I love the look and usefulness of this coat tree. I did a lot of searching and to be honest, they all started looking the same.....tall, skinny, spindly and plain. However, this one caught my eye! Quick and easy to assemble. It has multiple hooks in three rows. Lower hooks are great for holding purses, canes or umbrellas. I love the vintage thick wood pole, intricate hooks and wide base. Much more practicable. Do note: The hooks are not wood, but of a resin material. They do seem sturdy and well made even at that, so it's really not a big concern for me. The dark black cherry wood color gives it that rich look which is very pleasing to the eye. It has a nice shiny finish but do be careful when dusting or cleaning it. I wiped the dust off with the sleeve of my cotton shirt and you could see tiny fine lines/scratches. I would suggest using only a microfiber cloth. That worked well without damaging the surface. Also, be careful not to over tighten the screws! or you will crack the resin. After getting them screwed in where they are flat with the surface, Just snug them in a little and be done. Now, here's two things I think they could improve to make it a 5 star for me. First, the screws are silver, which really stand out against the dark wood. They need to include screw caps that match the wood to give it that finished look. Second, the top of the coat tree has a hole in it which comes covered with a wide plastic cap. In the instructions you will see where they tell you to remove it and in fact replace it with a smaller plastic cap?! It just looks unfinished. At least supply something that matches the wood. These two things really can make a difference in the over all look and richness of the item. I plan to find a decorative curtain rod finial to finish the top off. I'm sure you could get creative with this part. And, I will paint over the screws with an acrylic paint. Not a big deal breaker. All that said, I'm still happy with it and glad I purchased it. It's truly a beautiful piece.

The media could not be loaded.  The base is too small and it is not stable. Would not recommend if you want to place items on it.

Stand itself is solid wood, which is nice. The hooks, however, I don't know what they are, but it ain't the same material. The bolts do not give a good indication of when to stop screwing in, so one of the hooks got a little cracked and it still jiggled a little. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine, and I intend on keeping it for a long time.

As visible in the photo, not all of the screws go in fully. Also, the bottom is slightly loose so it tilts with a bit of pressure or weight.
