The grow sponges are generally single-use, so you'll need to purchase more at some point if you're into hydroponic gardening. These were a great replacement to the ones that came with my generic aerogarden. They look too small when they arrive, but they plump right up when they're soaked before using. I currently have Tiny Tim tomatoes, chamomile, parsley, and mixed lettuce growing successful in them, so I can confirm they do their job. It should be quite a while before I run out again, but I'd get these again when I need to order.

I have 8 hydrogardens- 2 different brands and these work great in both. The price is excellent and comes with the extra scoops, etc. They are slightly different (some not as straight as others), but once you put them in water, they act the same as other more expensive brands.I will continue to buy them again.

I loved the idea of these to easily start my seeds indoors before the warmer weather comes. It seems these sponges caused most of my seeds to not spout compared to a different brand sponges that were grown next to them in the same conditions. These sponges also, for whatever reason, caused mold to grow on only these sponges. Possibly I received a contaminated batch?
