I own 6 of the Moultrie Pro Magnum feeders. I purchased my 1st somewhere around 10-15 years ago. The biggest selling point and the reason I purchased my 1st one was the 'lifetime' warranty and I have not been disappointed! I have made 3 warranty claims over the years and I cannot find fault with their customer service. Twice I have had units replaced at no cost to me. In fact I even received free shipping labels to return my 2 failed units. The picture here is the new replacement I just received at no cost to me. (Are those complaining about a fee actually reviewing a different Moultrie feeder model?) I find a lot of time the Moultrie personnel don't really read the 1st support request email. Example: The 3rd claim was a failed spinner cup. At first Moultrie wanted me to return the entire unit. I replied that I would be happy to do so, but that it seemed wasteful since all I needed to be back in service was a new spinner cup. They then agreed and immediately mailed me one at no cost. It should be noted that Moultrie wants you to use their batteries and strongly recommends using their battery charger. This is not unreasonable in my opinion for a product that is providing a lifetime warranty. The only issue I have with this feeder is that circuitry will tell you the battery is at 100% even when it is not strong enough to spin the feeder. I discovered it with my 1st unit. I know the circuity has changed over the years and the problem may be resolved but since I live 250 from my feeders, it is not worth the risk so I just swap batteries EVERY time I refill the barrel and have not had a problem since. Love the product! Love the support!

The one that came with the Moultrie feeder worked fine until a pulley failure busted it. I bought this one to replace the damaged one. The first one worked great. After mounting the new replacement feeder kit to the feeder and adding about 80 lbs of corn, everything worked fine except the digital weight measurement that is supposed to tell you when you are about to run out of corn. However, I now believe that was because of my programming error and not the result of a product issue.Note that if you do have an issue that requires you to take off the feeder kit when you have it loaded with corn, beware - all that corn is going to pour out onto the ground, so test everything before you load the corn. If you forget to do that and you find out your feeder kit is defective, then bring a couple of old sheets to lay under the barrel so you can try to re-bag the still clean corn with the help of a friend.Update: I've had my replacement Pro Magnum Feeder Kit for about 9 or 10 months now and I have no complaints. The digital weight measurement worked flawlessly through the entire hunting 2019-2020 hunting season. I am raising my star rating to 4 from my previous 2 star rating and giving the product the benefit of the doubt that the digital weight measurement issue may have been the result of my error in programming it. This season will tell me more and I will update this review of things change one way or the other.

I have had several brands of feeders. This one is the best. I had one in a field and for 3 years it ran on solar power and the batteries never had to be charged or replace. I just left it on all year. Then the bears ate it.It has some drawbacks. Hanging the thing on a barrel is difficult because you need to thread nuts on under those plates you can see in the picture. Not easy.Also, in my neck of the woods, (the Upper Peninsula of Michigan) the days get short real fast and you have to keep resetting the time for feeding. I like it about 20 minutes before sunset and 15 minutes before sunrise. Blue Jays will eat all the corn if you let it go off much earlier in the evening. I like feeder models with photo cell controls the best because they automatically sense the light and set off the feeder. Unfortunately, the photocell models not of the quality that this unit has.I own 3 of these feeders now. i have had some other problems: the hole for the solar cell wires is 180 degrees from the batteries, one unit had the spinner plate come loose in shipping and it was a big hassle to fix it. However, overall this is the best unit you can buy.

For years we had problems with bears knocking the feeder assembly off the container and pillaging 150 lbs of feed in one night. This year we tried a different motor and raised the feeder as high as we could, but the bear was smarter than us and was able to lower the feeder by pulling on the rope. Luckily this time it stood up to the bears swatting and chewing on the motor feeder. Great item, finally found one bears cant destroy ! Now, if we could just get it to work for a while on one battery...

I have 2 of these feeders in use every winter - they feed 2 tons of corn over a period of 6 months (2 feedings a day) When combined with a solar charger they are almost fool proof. The price is so good when one of my feeders fail (last about 7-8 years) you just purchase a new one. This is a backup feeder for emergencies. I highly recommend this feeder. Forget about the lifetime warranty - it costs more to ship it for repairs then just buying a new one.

Worked all fall filled up with corn and stayed away from stand. Added the solar charger worked but didn't fit housings of feeder without sealing it up seems durable. Not easy to program put the directions under the cap
