Inexpensive solution for simple to create, great outdoor lighting
I have used these lights for years after converting from incandescent to halogen to now LED. They are less expensive than strictly outdoor rated lights and absolutely sip electricity. I have 10 in my front yard illuminating the house and trees (total of 90 watts of energy used with this LED 9W (equivalent to 75 watts each). I use the 12 watt version in my back yard to illuminate my large trees . i use an inexpensive 120volt fixture, hardwired with romax below the surface and they cost a fraction of the cost for what you would pay buying a landscape designed unit.

GREAT BULB FOR THE PURPOSE
These bulbs are great replacements for those that burned out in the cans in my kitchen and great room ceilings.

Light, bright, more white than warm
These lights work fantastic! They are super light, smaller than your standard flood light (both neck and diameter), and give off a really bright light. I use it as an outdoor flood light so I have been unable to test whether it is capable of dimming. I do find the light to be more blue white than warm white. Fits a standard screw-on light socket.

Decent short neck flood lights
I received these to replace some floods that went out in the front of my house. I have never actually seen short-neck floods before but these are nice as they recess into the light socket and keep out of the elements a little better than the standard long-neck floods. These lights are perfect at 3000 K as well and just give that great balance between daylight can cool light and light up the areas I need perfectly. These are a good value for the money and are still going strong and hope they last for years to come.

These work great for a fraction of the cost
These were perfect for the ceiling lights in my living room. I checked Home Depot and a few other stores before purchasing these and the prices were almost outrageous. For light bulbs... Inflation is real but I'm glad to have found these great working bulbs at a much better price!

A Bright Narrow Beam Spotlight
From the description it wasn't clear whether this was a floodlight or a spotlight because the description mentions both. I expected a floodlights because that was mentioned first: "Maelsrlg Dimmable PAR30 Short Neck Flood Light LED Bulb". The ones I received are spotlights with a relatively narrow intense beam. The beam is at most 30 degrees, and intensity falls off rapidly beyond that. So instead of being used in the intended floodlight application, I decided to install these in the ceiling cans over the kitchen island and counter, where the original LED bulbs had dimmed over the years. The short neck would recess bulb into the fixture with only the beam shining down. Unfortunately, the fixture housing prevents the short-neck bulb from reaching the socket. So I ordered socket extenders so they would fit. These bulbs measured 7W and 8VA on my Kill a Watt meter. That a 87% power factor, which is quite good for a LED bulb. The prior LED bulb measured 11W and 16VA, giving a poor 69% power factor. The 4W savings per bulb is small, but the newer bulbs deliver significantly more light for less power. While these would have been on a dimmer in the original application, they are now controlled by a standard light switch, and I cannot comment on how well they would work with a dimmer.

Very Bright Bulb In A Small Package
I was slightly surprised by how small these are. I knew they'd be a bit shorter/stubbier, but the face of the bulb is petite, as well. But, they pack a wallop in the brightness category! I was replacing 18W bulbs with these 9W bulbs but these have the same lumens.I think the 3000K stated color temp seems believable.Packaging: Typical bulb packaging with internal separators.Bang for Buck: These seem priced a hair on the higher side.Note: Amazon asked for "Remote Control" which is N/A and "Longevity" which I can't really say yet. So I did 1/5 and 4/5 respectively and will come back and change things if they die early.
