Do not ship in manufacturer's packaging only
I was looking forward to trying out these sandals while on vacation. They were due to be delivered the day we were leaving... perfect, except only one sandal was in the package. Xero apparently uses non-plastic bags to package their products, which I appreciate. But the material is flimsy, or the adhesive used to seal the non-plastic together doesn't really stick.Bottom line, I only received one sandal; if you order these on Amazon, make sure it is shipped inside another box.

Great sandals for every day use.
First of all, my experience with this sandals is not very long (one week). Previous week I received and did one not usual thing (usualy befor long trip test before use). I open package and use sandals to may trip: river boat, wood hiking and in river, after that I use with bicycle. The weather was: from +10C to +25C, the ground: wood, sand, river stones, asphalt. To summ up:1. light and comfortable.2. in the woods (not like jungle) was comfortable.3. litle bit hard move legs when all was around mud. clean and then wear again.4. Foot conection with sandal litle bit slippery when inside sand and mud.5. With bicycle need to be litle bit cautious - bicause metal pedals leave scratch in sole (in not so strong part.)6. Use in industrial place - streets with asphalt - exelent.7. I will use in some sport activities (runing,...) - result will be.Conclusion: At the moment I am happy with this product.

Fantastic Sandal - but will take some adjustment.
Had my Z Trails for almost exactly a month and I can say they are the best sandals I think I have ever had. Going zero drop, barefoot has done my body a lot of good, I think. When I walk with them on, my feet still feel tired, but the way my legs are sore is new, and I can tell I am using muscles that haven't been used in a long time.I've been solely using my Z Trails as my "popping out to the store" and "walking the dog" shoes to help me ease into them and I think that has been a beneficial approach, and now I am taking 2plus mile walks and hiking in them. Walking takes some getting used to if thick soles are what you are used to, you gotta me mindful not to hammer your heel down over and over - although the 10mm is more than enough cushion at the end of the day, when walking on cement, crazy foot striking will result in sore bits.Hiking was a magnificent experience in these sandals! Even clambering down steep sandy unstable slopes I felt sure footed because I could feel everything. Small sharp rocks are really no problem at all, and I actually find that I prefer feeling them (but the 10mm sole keeps them from hurting my foot) because it makes me naturally more careful and I haven't slipped yet. And something I never thought about when first getting these sandals is that when tiny pebbles do inevitably get stuck between my foot and the sandal it's so simple and easy to get them out because of the minimalist style of the thing! My feet are out in the open and working hard, and it feels great.A few quibbles, now. Adjusting the sandal takes a bit of work. If you go onto the Xero website you will see a video of the owner very easily demonstrating/explaining NOT to use the velcro hell to get in and out of the sandal, but rather the strap tightener...that is easier said than done. You can't put them on standing up at all, you have to be sitting down, with your legs crossed over, and the strap fastener is on the OUTSTIDE of the foot, resulting in an awkward angle - especially for a big person...and the strap is a bit stubborn in allowing the strap to slide easily to and fro for a good fit - it takes some work. Furthermore, you pretty much have to be touching the bottom of your sandal to put on and adjust. Maybe it's just me, but that is something I really wish I didn't have to do, because then I have to immediately wash my hands afterward - which often has me walking through my "no shoes indoors" house wearing my sandals, which defeats the purpose of the no shoes allowed part. As well as when I am out, say at the beach, putting them on requires again all that bottom shoe contact with no real place to then wash my hands. I admit, this issue my be mainly my own personal picadillo, but long story short, it could be...it SHOULD be easier to adjust these straps. And finally - when these babies get wet, such as stepping through a stream or stomping around beach water - the top of the soles get SLIIIIIICK. You have to have these pups strapped on right and tight or else your foot will slip in ways you really don't want to be slipping. They do dry in minutes, however. But even with those issues and my cleanliness neurosis going on in my head...I still love these sandals. I'm hoping that more mileage will result with resolution, and I can't see myself going back to thick soled sandals at all.

Perfect for hiking the Grand Canyon, not so great if you’re going in water
Bought these for several hiking trips through Arizona. These held up, with utmost comfort through the Grand Canyon, on hot pavement through native ruins, and along rough Arizona desert. However, went to a river and then attempted to do a mild hike back and the inside of the shoes were incredibly slippery. They were easy to dry, but I had such high hopes to be able to just keep going after the River. Otherwise these are solid shoes. I have wide feet and they’re so comfortable, grip all types of ground great. No foot pain.

Pay more for a better quality sandal
As a big proponent of zero drop shoes, as well as quality light weight sandals (wear active sandals about 90% of the time I’m outside of my house), I bought these hoping they’d live up to my expectations. They did not. The quality/material felt like a sandal you’d get at a beach side gift shop. I imagine these would have broke a few weeks into owning them. So I returned them (hence the 3 star - can’t say for sure, but assuming my gut is right). If you’re looking for a quality, active, zero drop sandal, spend more and get something like the Bedrock cairn (or cairn pro) sandals. You’ll spend ~$30 USD more, but you’ll get a sandal that will keep up with about anything you can throw at it, is lightweight, zero drop, and super quality. The quality is just not in this sandal.

Best Sandal ever
According to my bride, it is the best sandal ever. She uses it on her trail hikes. She’s had others that when they got wet, they would slip off underwater and turn sideways. These sandals grip your foot, so they won’t slide off when you’re walking across a creek or small river.

Very light
The size was right on and the sandals are comfortable. I did some uphill trail running in them. The soles are thin and lightweight. My only issue is that the soles are very thin and I do not expect them to last very long. The company says they are good for 5000 miles, and I hope that is true.

Fantastic barefoot Sandals
These are my first barefoot style sandals and they are incredibly comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with them. I haven’t worn them in rough terrain yet, but for normal wear around town, I’ve walked on them for long periods comfortably without issue. Love these!

Comfortable but toe splay limited with this design
Really minimal environmentally conscious packaging impressed me for a start. They are very comfortable, and having worn barefoot shoes for a couple of months, these zero drop sandals are a definite improvement on the traditional heel-toe drop of the much more rigid Teva's that I previously used. So that's a positive. They aren't quite as flexible in the sole as I had expected, compared with other barefoot models, but they feel quite spongey and I can imagine would feel like having a spa at the end of a long walking adventure, after you have changed out of your hiking boots. They are a little bit fiddly to get the balance of tightness right across all of the buckles but I can live with this, since they seem to stick, which (whilst it makes initial adjustment tricky) means the are less likely to adjust themselves while being worn. One downside though for a sandle made for walking, and the reason I haven't given them 5-stars, is that the front strap on a shoe of this design WILL continue to keep your big toe pointing in towards your other toes, preventing it from splaying. It is essentially recreating a relatively tight 'toe box' area. I think the design could be improved by not having one continuous strap, but two, with the toe strap being independent of the rest of the straps and adjustable with velcro. That way, the wearer could choose a looser fitting toe strap, whilst being able to tighten the rest of the sandle independently. This is where I think the cheaper Xero Cloud sandle (with it's thong-like toe post) might score more highly, if you are simply looking for a holiday sandle you can throw on for every day wear. I have ordered those too, and think they will allow my does to move more freely, which is really the objective of footwear that respects the natural movement of your feet. Just my opinion after looking at my toes bunched together in these shoes. I would probably not want to walk long distances in these, but instead wear a proper (breathable) shoe or boot. But for holidays, to the beach or pool, or wild swimming etc, or on a campsite as camping "slippers" they will be perfect (but at £80, versus the £50 Xero Clouds, you would need to like them a lot for the extra spend).

Dieci e lode

Also vieeel zu teuer.
