If you are looking for shorts that are short, these are the ones you want. I looked for a long time to find a pair like an old pair (about 20 yrs old) that I always loved. As a bonus the quality of fit, finish, and materials is very good.As to the debate of are they 4" or 5.5" inseam, I believe that if you look at the illustrations you will see that some look longer - and that for those as you scroll down there is a section about the shorts with a chart that states 5.5". If the shorts look shorter, that section with that chart is not included. Not sure if this is the final word, but it sure would make sense - except for the headline still saying 4".

I believe these Meripex Apparel Men's 4" Inseam Elastic-Waist Casual Stretch Shorts are designed to worn by women, not men. The fly is entirely too short to be of any use to a guy. Also, they just didn't fit right. I have already given them to Goodwill.

I bought these shorts for my eras outfit and they fit SO well. They were so stretchy! I got a size large and I normally wear 34 pants. I never can find shorts that are actually short and these were great! I never buy clothes online, but I will definitely continue shopping here.

The posting claims that short shorts for men are coming back. Its about time.These are light, comfortable, and well made.Some of the pictured product in the posting appear to be longer inseams, but the delivered product has 4" seams.

Leg hole opening too wide for my thin legs. If better we r fit I would have kept.
