Loving the new G3 stroller seat! So far my favorite feature is the reversible insert for both hot and cold weather as it has been 90+ here all week. I have had it on the cool side and when I pick up my daughter, no sweat ring! So I'm sure this is much more comfortable for her. I have the G2 stroller frame and as promised, this fits the base. A sun shade DOES NOT come with this stroller seat. It must be purchased separately. There are a variety of colors to choose from but I stuck with the "slate" as a gender neutral option since I plan to sell all of my G2/G3 when we are done using it. The shade is amazing though. Its enormous and keeps my baby completely covered. Don't forget to include one in your order. The only thing I am not loving about this seat is that it does not collapse in any way. Which I knew before I purchased it. Still, it would be nice if it could fold down some how to make it smaller and easier to handle during travel. We just had to purchase the $200 orbit stroller travel bag because we simply cant fold the seat down to fit into a decent sized piece of luggage. But thats a whole other review...

Don't buy into the negative reviews.
Stroller seat is great. Some reviewers have complained about it not being very "solid" or "sturdy", I believe otherwise. It does what it's supposed to. The seat is very sturdy. It isn't designed to be as rigid as an infant car seat. The flat recline is great. Nothing wrong with the bumper bar or snack tray either. Would buy the same seat again!

Do not purchase Orbit Baby!
I purchased my first orbit baby product over 4 years ago for my first. Loved everything about the car seats and stroller. It wasn't until my second came along I upgraded to the double helix (G2 frame with attachment) I recently had my 19th month old son in the stroller seat when all of a sudden the seat just popped off the frame causing him to fall to the ground. he was strapped and locked in position! He leaned forward to grab his sippy cup when the seat ejected off of the frame. Thankfully there was a paramedic at the restaurant we were dining at and was able to check my son out to make sure he did not have a concussion. I have reached out to orbit baby and they did not seem too concerned with the piece breaking off of the frame and my son falling to the ground they asked me for my name address and the serial number and proof of purchase. I am extremely disappointed with their customer service and now their product! I have easily spent over $3000! And have ry to get a proper response!

Over-rated, Flimsy Feel, Made in China
I think this seat has been overrate here on Amazon at an average of 4.5 stars. People who got this stroller seat free for product testing would surely love it. If you're, like me, who spent $200 this stroller seat, you probably wished it provided more value for the price.Sure it's beautiful and unique looking. But once you get your hands on it. It's kind of light and flimsy feeling. Even though it is supposedly made of "green" materials, it is also made in Guandong, China. And I don't like spending $200 on high-end luxury stuff...then find out it was made in China. That's just me and how I feel so please don't leave comments about racism or whatever because, guess what, I'm Chinese. This seat does not feel "rock" solid like some of the other products in this line at all. Obviously you don't need a stroller seat to be as secure/solid as say, a car seat. But for the price, I was expecting something more subtantial.Otherwise, there is little you need to do other than take it out of the box and install the foot rest. It slides in and out and the locking-un-locking mechanism works and glides smoothly. There is also this ridiculous little codiment tray you can intall which just snaps in and tiny toys or snacks can be kept in thre. You will need to spend $80 for the sun shield/visor since that item is sold separtely. But they come in lots of colors so you can pick one that coordinates with your taste. You also have to buy the stroller base separately of course. That is $460. And if you want a cargo net like the ones most strollers have underneath for shopping bags and other items, order that separately. It'll cost you $80.The seat needs to be removed from the stroller in order to fold the stroller and get everything into your car. This is not a one person job in my opnion and I only like to use this stroller when my husband is around. I got a easier to use stroller for my parents who watch my kids for me. (Baby Jogger City Mini) which is light, compact, and can be folded and lifted with one hand. This system takes up all of my trunk space. I drive a Chevy Volt (similar size to Prius). So keep that in mind if you don't have a lot of trunk space or space in your house. The way the stroller base and stroller seat stacks doesn't really work with the way I load and unload my car. I have to take the baby out of the stroller seat and strap her into the car seat. Then I remove the stroller seat and put it on the ground. Then I fold the stroller base and put it in the car. Then the stroller seat goes on top. To take it out, I first take out the stroller seat and put it on the floor. Then I take out the stroller base and unfold it. Pick up the stroller seat and connect to base. Then get the baby and put her in the stroller. I wish the base and seat stacked in a way so that the seat doesn't have to touch the floor. Hmmmm...The features I do like about this seat are that it is unique looking and attractive. The same levers control the rotation/orbiting, reclining/return to upright, as well as undocking from the stroller base. It is very streamlined in that way and there aren't different levers for different things. The seat can be set at any recline angle, and the seat can face any direction you want. You aren't limited to levels or notches you have to "click" into. It's seamless. The docking is simple. No need to hook and lock which I had to do with my Graco system. You just set the round base of the seat in the housing of the stroller base and done. All the mechanisms work very smoothly and quietly...I suppose this is the high end element here. You don't see it in the Amazon product picture but the seat comes with a light grey padded foam seat pad. It is double-sided. It has a warm almost velour/velvet side. And it has a cool mesh-like side. You can easliy flip it depending on weather conditions.I don't mind paying top dollar for something if the Company offers me value that I think is commensurate or greater than the amount of money I spent. I just don't think that is the case here. Although this is a very nice seat, I docked two stars. One star because it is just not worth $200 in my opnion (plus sunshade since I did have to get that to be able to take baby out doors during the day time). Second star because it is made in China. If you are already an Orbit Baby user, yes you will need a stroller seat for the system. So you should get this. If not, I'd say try the infant carseat first and see if you like it before expanding into the entire line. Getting everything you need will easily cost $2,000...more if you tack on the in-line double stroller Helix kit and additional modular components as well.

Great seat. Simple and easy to use
Great seat. Simple and easy to use. Light weight. Just bulky when packing in the trunk. Downside. You have to purchase the sun shade separate.

360 degree swivel!!
Best stroller ever. It is comfortable. Has an insert which can be on warm or cool side depending on weather. It swivels 360 degrees so you won't need high chair at restaurants, especially if your child is not sitting on their own yet. I get complements every time I am out with this stroller and I get complements multiple times. It also has three setting, from sitting up to laying down and in between. You will definitely be satisfied with this stroller. Only downside is that its base and this stroller can be little on the expensive side. Keep in mind, it does not come with sunshade or base. You have to buy those separately.

Wouldn't purchase this system again.
It's ok but not worth the price. It should come with the shade. I love the infant car seat and stroller but should have stopped at that.
