Faulty Design!
Ridiculous design - the lid doesn’t stay on the box, and the ink will dry out. Now I have to waste my time returning the darned thing.Updated: While cleaning away the packaging from this order, I found the long metal pin that holds the lid onto the pad container. I put it all together, and it seems to work okay. So I’m going to keep it and up my review from one star to three. If this unit was designed better, the pin wouldn’t have fallen out in the first place.

It was wrapped in thin plastic foil that kept it moist, awesome purchase.

For the price, I was expecting a no-frills stamp pad, and what I received was even less than no-frills. The hinge pin on the lid was never installed and so the lid cannot be closed (I checked the packaging; the pin is just... gone). Not worth the trouble of returning, so will need to secure the lid with rubber bands when not in use and cross my fingers that the ink dries out quickly so I can replace this pad with another brand.
