FISHMAN Classic Series BP-100 Upright Bass Pickup

Brilliant, so bright and responsive with a natural acoustic bass sound. Other musicians have commented on it. Only thing is my bum notes can now be heard!! But that's my problem.

Great pickup. Use it for my double bass and it's fantastic.

Worked very well, easy to fit. Used in a pit band situation and would thoroughly recommend.

Really poor. I like Fishman kit but this has altered my opinion. The pickups come with stupid clips that aren't fit for the job so they keep popping off. Aside from that, the pickups pickup mostly from the rear of the neck, so as you move your hand up and down the frets its all slidey hand / wood sounds, and that is louder than the actual bass sound. And in terms of bass sound, again its poor, never really reaching the low end. And finally feedback - expect lots of it if you use an amp, or play on a stage, as it seems to reverberate around 100hz, picking up vibrations through the stage - lift the bass off the stage, feedback goes away, place back on stage, feedback starts. So unless you feel like throwing a strap around your bass and playing it like an electric dangling around your neck, this probably isn't the pickup for you. Oh and for recording - again it sounds rubbish - if you are recording use a mic in front of the bass and you'll get less neck noise.

Can I try the Pre amp with it and send it back if I do not like it ? It says recommended. The pickup is on the lower side of ok will the preamp help it?

This is a first class piece of equipment. Highly responsive and delivers excellent sound with my double bass. Best with a pre-amp but great without.

I'm a jazz bass player and I have tried several pickups for my upright bass and this one was definitely my favorite by far. It has one of the most ideal tones for jazz that I've come across as well as working well for playing with a bow.

最初ブリッジの先端にクリップで固定する際の要領がわからずクリップがすぐ外れてしまうなどでうまくいきませんでした。クリップをブリッジの先端の広がりに合せて拡げて（クリップが固くて拡げにくかったが）緩めに挟むと大丈夫なようです。ブリッジに付ける形のピックアップは指が弦に触れる音も拾ってしまいますがこの辺は好みだと思います。私は別の形のピックアップと併用しています。取り付けの要領や付属の楽器コードに関して販売元にいろいろ問い合わせをしましたがそれに対する対応がすばらしくこちらが恐縮するほど親切でした。ウディーランドは５ツ星以上！
