I love the way that these cables are labeled with their maximum power. The USB-C specification keeps changing, and all my C-to-C cables look the same. I cannot tell which is the one that just arrived in the box with my fancy new phone, and which one is several years old. I have a labeling machine and I have started adding labels with the name of the device that provided the device, but even then, I don’t know what the limits are of the cable. I strapped a multi-port USB power supply and a USB-C Thunderbolt Hub to the wall mount for my 32” monitor. These 1-foot USB-C cords are perfect. I use one to power the USB hub and the other to power the 32” monitor. The cable has a woven covering that feels strong and durable. The connectors at the end have a rubbery section and a metal section. I have a ot of faith in these cables, but I waited a couple months to write this review because I have an intermittent problem somewhere in my set up; my monitor occasionally shuts off for no reason. The title says it all. The cables are well made with great finish. They appear to be quite sturdy and should last a long time. I have other cables from this manufacturer (C<->C) which are equally good. The connectors fit well and hold in place well.

I only buy Ugreen, Anker and Apple cables. After buying some off brands from Amazon including a few Soopai brands, the advertised speeds are inaccurate. Example, 100 watt cables with a maximum charge of about 55 watt. Please know I have the correct equipment when I test stuff like this so there is no error.Some companies slap values on their cables but that’s not what you get. I hate getting taken this way. So I don’t buy cable brands that are unknown to me anymore.However, during a recent rig build I needed a moderate quality cable quickly and ordered a Silkland as it was the only one I could get fast which had decent reviews at the time. I’m not getting ahead of myself here, but the Silkland has performed well. Up to its advertised speeds. 100 watts gave me 98 watts passed to my devices which is acceptable. Now if the cable holds out, I think it should as it seems fairly well constructed, then I may consider getting more in the future.I prefer getting 240 watt cables, as now the companies have to mark the ends ‘240’. This helps me to know how fast the cable operates at. Have you ever reached in to an entanglement of cables you have and wonder which one isn60 watt, 100 watt? Drove me nuts until I started labelling them, but no easy way to do that without the labels falling off at some point. So I like the marked cables.Anyways I digress, Silkland is alright and the ones I have, have performed well. They are a bit less money than the bigger brands, so if ya wanna save a couple of bucks these are a good option.Recommended
