A+ Grade for Biology!!!
This was an awesome experience to open it. My friend and I did our 2d Semester Presentation in Biology about Oysters and Clams, and opened this specimen in front of the whole class. It was a pretty big chance taken to open it not knowing if the contents were true to the advertisement, but it worked out perfectly!!! The two things I want to talk about are the smell and the "Oyster." so1. THE SMELL WON"T BE THERE IF YOU REFRIGERATE.-I wasn't going to refrigerate it but then my friend suggested it and I searched it up and apparently to deal with the smell you can refrigerate it to make it waaayyyy less noticeable. I mean, it smelled a bit, but after dealing with multiple dissections in Biology, (Thanks Mr. S), it wasn't too bad lol 😂2. The "Oyster"-The reason I put that in quotations is because this creature is actually not an Oyster. It's a clam. They're different specimens, but still in the same class Bivalva, meaning two valves. (Your Bio lesson for the day ;) )So with all that said, it was an amazing experience and we got an A+ on this presentation. We did find 27/28 pearls, but I'd say that that is very good. (some were stuck on the inside of nacre shell) But yeah! Now these pearls will be great for making jewelry and keeping and such. Some of them have a super cool shape. One even looks like a space-ship/Saucer. Pretty awesome how beautiful God's creation is. 😁Thanks so much for reading this far. I hope this review helps you out a bit as far as information goes. 🧡Have an amazing day!!! 😊🌅

The most interesting and unique hobby of mine.
The media could not be loaded. This company does an excellent job with consistency and quality. An amazing value for money, and the colors are beautiful! The shell is beautiful and able to be made into a jewelry box if you’re creative enough lol. To make the pearls that look milky or dull just use a mixture of vinegar and salt to buff them gently and it will take that off! Those earrings I made from a few different orders of these clams. Happy hunting!

Not Great but fun!
I ordered two oysters for my friends for Christmas '24. One had beautiful pearls the other one had small, dusty looking pearls. I think one of the oysters I got was only halfway done forming the pearls. It was fun and they had a blast.

95 pearls w/in 3 oysters of mine. 76 w/in 3 of my friends!!! Easy to open easy to clean. Read below!
Ordered 3 large oysters. Received in 1 day shipping (technically I got it in about 16-18hrs after ordering). I found that the best way to open them w/out any hassle I’d to place needle nose pliers at lease 20-50% into the shell insuring that you have it where the handle will open in the same direction as you want the shell to open. One in.... take one handle in each hand and pull apart from opposite directions. By doing this... it takes all of 20-30 seconds from start to finish. Avoiding any splintering of the shell and any potential injuries if you used a knife or flathead screwdriver.Once I opened my 3 large oysters I found having a small bowl with clean water and gloves to be handy. Remove all pearls and place in water for 10min to soak. The. W/gloves I pulled apart the meat of the clam that covered each pearl. This process took about 20min. Then I let those soak in clean water. MAKE SURE TO SQUISH EVERY PIECE OF MEAT. Tiny pearls can be hidden. Ignore the large egg shaped piece of meat in the center. Nothing will be on it. Wash your pearls in s deluged dish soap waters in s bowl, rinse, then let dry on a paper towel. In the end.... My children and I had 95 pearls within our 3 oysters. My best friend and her children had 76 between their 3 large oysters. They had s lot of fun.

Small and Few.
The description said 32 pieces, but I only got 21 pieces. Only one looked round enough, but had a flat dark side. The rest of them had a lot of black spots, were badly misshapen and were too small. The inside of the shell looks beautiful after I cleaned it. It was super hard to open it, but I finally did open it! The smell was not too bad!

Very Fun!
My fiancé & I did this together as a date. We had a lot of fun! The oyster does have a mildewed smell to it but when we opened it, it didn’t smell bad at all. The pearls are decent, most are wonky shaped, have bands/ridges or are flat on one side but overall they’re cute pearls. Some of them have a film on them, I might take a damp cloth & a pinch of salt gently to them & see if that helps. I will definitely be buying from this seller again.

Disappointed
I got this large oyster for a party I was hosting for my daughter. I’ve always seen oyster openings and thought they would be fun!The oyster is huge! Like really big! I was surprised and excited about its size. I have read before it’s a good idea to store it in the fridge until you’re ready to open it. I did that and I soaked it in a bowl of water for a bit before opening. I had no smell to mine and I think storing it in the fridge and in water helped. It was VERY difficult to open. It took me about 5 mins to pry it open and had to have a friend help me. Once I got it open I was so excited to find the pearls. The act of hunting for the pearls was fun, however, I think my oyster was rotting. There was a ton of green nastiness in the meat of the oyster. We found 25 pearls in our oyster, but the majority of the oysters were small - like tiny! There’s no way we could use those to put in a cage necklace. I think we ended up with maybe 4 or 5 that we could use.I did also purchase, from another vendor, the smaller oysters that have just one pearls in them and I was much more pleased with those. I don’t think I’d ever buy this one again.
