Headless Controller Board for Raspberry Pi 3 and Pi Zero W - self assembly kit, soldering required. Compatible with any model of Pi with a 40 pin GPIO header (B+/A+ onwards), this board allows you to control your Pi when not connected to a monitor, keyboard or mouse. Kit includes: Printed circuit board 3x Push buttons 1x Buzzer 2x Red LEDs 3x 10k resistors (black, brown, orange) 2x 220 ohm resistors (red, red, brown) 40 way female header You don't have to use the header provided, it's possible to solder straight onto a Raspberry Pi zero with a header fitted to make a much more low-profile assembly. One application would be if you want to create a camera or dashcam using a Raspberry Pi Zero board. The 3 buttons are connected to GPIO 4, 17 and 9. Buzzer to GPIO11. The two LEDs are connected to GPIO 5 & 19. Our demo script takes a photo when button 1 is pressed (to a time and date stamped file). Button 2 starts video recording. Button 3 stops video recording. LED1 is on all the time to show the script is running. LED2 comes on when the camera is active. You could also use this board to start and stop recording wireless signals using RTL-SDR and a suitable USB TV Stick. Or activate Tshark wireless network logging. Or any other use you can think of where you want basic control of a headless Pi.
