My bird feeding stations got a bit messed up some months ago due to some minor renovations. Anyway, I placed this particular feeder on a balcony and generally fill it with black oil sunflower seed or sunflower hearts (the black oil sunflower seeds leave a bit of a mess, so I will probably be sticking with the hearts or some other shelled mix). I’ve mostly noticed squirrels visiting, but have also had house sparrows, house finches, and mourning doves eating beneath it.
