Alice in Wonderland [Blu-ray] [2017]

No matter what your opinion of Johnny Depp there is no denying he's a fabulous actor. Helena Bonham Carter is superb as the red queen!Alice is a little bit wishy washy as a character but the cast did a great job of making it appeal to children and adults alike. It's tough to come up with a character like the JabberWocky that is intimidating and yet doesn't cause 5 years olds to burst into tears...

Alice returns to Wonderland aged 20. Is Wonderland unreal, just a figment of her imagination, in which case she must be mad to be dreaming up such a mad world or is Wonderland real? Alice goes on a journey of discovery and character development as a result of her return to the super colourful and super visual Wonderland.

Love this film, I went to the cinema recently to see the sequel 'Through the Looking Glass' and promptly pre-ordered it for hen it comes out. This film, like the sequel is beautifully coloured, fabulous costumes, and well acted, I was so glad the sequel had the same actors in despite a 10 year gap between films, great for keeping the continuity going. The story is not quite how I read it a million years ago as a child, but it is brilliantly told and portrayed in pure Tim Burton style, which gives it a bit of a twist, and who are we to say that Lewis Carroll might have loved to have told it this way if he was here today!

Adore Disney and Tim Burton films anyway, so when this came out, was really interested in seeing it. I love the characters, how colourful it is and the cast is brilliant. I love the storyline and how it progresses.Just a top notch movie that children will love!

The description of the storyline makes this look to be a good film so I bought it as a Christmas Present for someone who collects films on DVD - Blu-Ray & 3D formats.

Beautiful, inspired imagery. It makes you feel such wonder, like being a kid again.All the roles are performed with gusto, but I especially love Johnny Depp as the Hatter.

Alice in wonderland is an amazing and whimsical adventure and this adaptation has captured everything about wonderland perfectly, the right amount of intrigue and the perfect amount of the terrifying.
