Gut Hook Waist Pack, 15.2-Liter Storage

I got this for my dad as a gift and he loves it. Very comfortable and tons of room. No gripes or complaints from him and he's used if for archery and rifle season the past couple on months.

First, I'd like to say that I never give reviews on ANYTHING. But, I wanted to buy my 12 year old son a new light weight pack, I knew exactly what to get him. I've had my pack for two years and I have beat the crap out of it. I hunt public land in the hills/mountains and use it for archery, firearm and muzzleloader season. I walk long distances and I'll attach extra clothes, seat shooting sticks, whatever gear I need to pack. Basically, I have abused this little pack for two seasons and while showing signs of wear it still functions as it should. I bought this pack because I have back issues and a friend told me to go to this style pack and it's really helped with my back pain on the walk in and out. One thing I would change is I wish the shoulder straps were removed. But I knew that when I bought it. So, I'm not taking any points off for that. 5 stars this has been a great little pack.

This is a super pack. Comfortable, well made and just the right size for anything from a short 1/2 day hunt to an all day hunt. Bow carrier works great (I used it numerous times hiking in or out in the dark) and there is even a rifle carry that comes out of a secret compartment that is not mentioned in any description I saw. Held my 3 liter bladder, basic hunting essentials like 2 knives, bone saw, marking tape, gps, bull elk bugle, cow call, rain jacked, montana elk decoy, snacks and some things I am forgettting. Then I could still strap on a sweatshirt I took off as day warmed up. Carries really nice too. I used it on an AZ archery elk hunt. It is now my go to pack!

Lots of pockets and compartments to organize gear and food if you like to pack a lot while hunting. I turned mine into a Fanny pack but had to make adjustments to it but it can be done. I like it a lot. Only down side the waist strap is big so not made for skinny guys. I’m a 32in waste and I made it work for me. If you are thinner the straps can be modified if needed. Plus with hunting layers on it shouldn’t be any issue.

I am 67 and this pack surpasses anything I have ever personally used. The workmanship and practicality is dead on as is comfort.

Very handy pockets lots of storage , I used the waist strap very tight and it actually helps my lower back on those mile hikes onto public hunting areas.

This has to be one of the best style packs like this around. Very roomy and well thought out. It distributes the weight great so you do not really have a load on your shoulders alone and works wonders in doing so. I did have a small issue with a couple of the pull tabs on the zippers but the company took care of it quickly and easily. great support which also goes along way in my book. This is a no brainer to purchase. A+ all the way
