Good value as always
Good value and fit as always, just a shame that as so many things they are not made in Britain.

Good value wool rich socks. Worth paying a little more for.
With a mild circulation problem leading to slightly swollen ankles and lower legs I have worn this type of no elastic socks for a number years now - they are a big help. The problem for me has been finding a good value source for quality socks. I have three very good pairs, sold as sports socks, which are very thick and warm, but they are now becoming fairly old and I cannot find them on sale anywhere, in shops or online. The Good Grips ones that I have bought or been given as gifts have been of very disappointing quality - they can be often found for sale in large packs with the cost often as little as just over £1 per pair.HJ Hall socks have always appealed to me, but with prices around £6 per pair I have always avoided them, but then I discovered this this pack which brings the price down to just under £4 per pair. When I took them out of the delivery package it was hard to tell these wool rich socks apart from the cotton rich one that I had also ordered at the same time. However, now that I have been wearing them for a few days I am very pleased with my purchase. Although they appear fairly thin for wool rich socks, the quality of the fibre they are made from is very good and they are almost as warm as socks that are over twice the thickness. They are very smooth and comfortable to wear and stay up very well, without leaving any visible mark. They fit my size 10/11 feet well and are easy to pull on and off.If you are looking for good quality and hopefully fairly long lasting, no elastic socks, then I would recommend this good value pack of 3 wool rich socks.Update after six months.Over time, with each wash, these socks became slightly harder and felt more tight before pulling them on to my feet. I still believe that they are good quality compared to other brands, and they are still comfortable once I am wearing them, but a little more difficult to get on than when new. I have found the cotton-rich socks, also by Halls (HJ91) more comfortable and unchanged with use and washing. 3 Pair Pack HJ91 Hall MENS SOFTOP Loose Wide Top Non Elastic Cotton Rich Socks One possible reason for the change in the feel of these socks could be that I chose to ignore the washing instructions, which recommended 30c wash temperature, when my regular preferred wash cycle is 40c. I cannot be certain, but perhaps the 10c difference has a noticeable effect on the wool-rich socks, but not the cotton-rich socks.

The best non clinging socks
HJ Hall simply make the best no elastic “soft top” socks and the will ones will easily stay working long after the cotton ones which over time either shrink or refuse to stay up.There are many imitators but these are the best and worth paying extra for.

Loose top works
Now my partner’s preferred sock despite not being quite as soft as others but the loose top is far more comfortable

'Honest' John Hall Always Socks It To Me Daddio ! ;o>
These socks rather surprisingly aren't as easy as you would think to source and buy these days. Yes, there are plenty of other brands around in very similar styles, fabric blends and colours but these particular `Honest' John Hall ones always come out on top as being my Dad's favourites by a mile. I can occasionally find them on a local market stall but even the market prices still can't compete with Amazon at the moment, and for some strange reason, every time I buy them I find that they are consistently up to several pounds dearer per pair on Ebay as well.My Dad prefers this Wool fabric blend because they keep his feet cool in Summer yet also nice and warm in Winter. They allow for your feet to 'breathe' and have '3 unique relaxation panels' which apparently contract vertically thus helping them stay up all day without leaving any marks on his legs or restricting his already very poor circulation. They also have a smooth toe seam and unlike the more readily available Cotton blend ones they don't cause him to suffer from any friction rubbing or blistering either which is the last thing he needs as he has such limited sensation in his feet due to complications from Heart Disease and two recent Strokes.Comfort is everything to him these days - and at these really fab prices compared to elsewhere I managed to buy him this 3pk in Charcoal and a 3pk in Dark Brown from the seller 'Blueshire' plus two of the 3pk in Taupe-Oatmeal-Brown from the seller 'hosiery-direct-uk' and they came to a total of £34.78 + free UK delivery. This means that they worked out at just under £2.90 a pair which I think makes them quite a bargain. So? - my Dad's a very happy bunny and my purse is also very happy too! ;o>

Great product and made in the UK.
Too early to to say how they will fair in the mid to long term. They appear well made and are very comfortable to wear, surprisingly soft for a standard wool sock. The soft top sock fits well and does not sag or drop. Possibly best of all, they are made in the UK.

Just what we needed.
My husband really loves these socks. Because his legs tend to swell (medical reasons) ordinary socks tend to mark and dig in. These socks not only stay up they also never dig into his legs. He has been wearing them for a long time and has nothing but praise for them.
