Fabulous game
My son loves star wars and this is his favourite game by far. The sounds are excellent and sound just like the films. The music too is very good and you can tell who he is playing as by the theme music playing. He has progressed through the levels and can play in whatever Episode he feels like. He has learnt lots about the film and there are some amusing character that he enjoys too.

... really don't understand why the item was listed as good, it was perfect
I really don't understand why the item was listed as good, it was perfect, granted it didn't come with a box but I just throw them out anyway. Packaging was simple and fit through my letterbox so there was no need for me to be in to collect my parcel. The game is in good working order and so far I can see no problems with it. Excellent order especially with such a small price.

Three Stars
Playability is good but the graphics are poor and lacking colour.

Great... until it outlasts its welcome
Anyone familiar with the lego games will know what to expect: you play through the game in story mode, then you play through again in free play where you can use characters' different abilities to access areas you couldn't before.Yes, the puzzles are basic and so is the combat but that makes it accessible to all... and it's also not the point. It's a collectathon of a game, exploring every nook and crannie until you've unlocked absolutely everything. That is the appeal of the games and in this case, it's flaw:To unlock most of the extras and characters in the game requires studs (money) which can be helped when you purchase score multipliers. These are expensive extras but once unlocked, they make your life easier. This would be great if it were like the console versions of the game where these multipliers are cumulative so that, once you've overcome the hurdle of getting two multipliers, you suddenly get rich very quick and allowing you to finish the game before you've gotten sick of it. On the DS version, you can't combine multipliers, so getting money takes much, much longer. You'll find yourself having to replay levels over and over, long after you've discovered everything in them, just to make some cash. For example, I had a 2x, 4x and 6x multiplier with 12 million studs needed to unlock the outstanding power bricks, plus about 1m needed for the remaining characters. Replaying the final level seems the easiest way to make cash and using the 6 x multiplier earns around 500,000 studs each time. To unlock the 10x multiplier -the biggest in the game - requires 5m studs so I have to play the same level 10 times to save up enough. That leaves me with 8m more studs to save. I now earn 700,000 for each replay but I still have to pay a further 12 times to save up: that's 22 times replaying the same level that you've already played to death. If only could combine those accumulates, 2 x 4 x 500,000 would have earned 4m in one go (enough to earn the 8x multiplier). If I played it again with the 8x multiplayer, I'd be up a further 32m and done: that's hours of dull repetition saved.Instead, you end up hating the game you once enjoyed. Now, this may seem a minor gripe but when the emphasis is on unlocking everything, making it so tedious to get it all turns it into a big gripe. In other comments, the limits of the DS mean that the cut scenes are so basic they fail to carry the standard lego humour which is understandable but a shame. The red brick extras are also pretty uninspired with only a handful being any use: additions to later games such as the red brick detectors and mini kit detectors are a big miss. The mini game extras are also dull but necessary to finish in order to complete the game.I do like this game, though, honest! I have found it enjoyable. You certainly get plenty of hours' play out of it... the only trouble isit's more than you want!

Just perfect for a five year old padawan!
I got this for my son to play on his new DS. He has played the Wii version avidly, and whilst this is slightly different in places he is loving it. It is interesting to note his other game; Lego Chima, whilst similar in operation is 7+, and he gets stuck on bits, partly with the reading involved. This game is 3+ and seems much more accessible for his age group. A pity there weren't more titles like this for that age bracket.

Perfetto
