Our hot tub is hot again.
This element is almost an exact replacement for our Balboa heater. It was easy to install and fit perfectly in the heater housing. It quickly brought the water in our spa back up to and has maintained the desired temperature.

failed in 4 months
I installed this toward the end of January. If failed last week. No sign of damage or hair around it. No visible damage/burn marks as I've had in the past. It just failed - no longer has any resistance. Put new element in from a different supplier - hot tub now works fine.

Perfect
Worked great. Not easy to slide into the tube, but I've done a lot of these and takes patience. Don't bend it to get it in. Take your time. Very nice it came with new gaskets too!

Not OEM can cause issues
This was purchased to replace an element in a Jacuzzi hot tub. The terminals can be damaged during installation if the element is not to Mfg specs.I found this element to be slightly different from the OEM element and returned it. I ended up paying a little more for the "real" OEM version which installed perfectly.

Worked for just under 3 months
Arrived quickly. Fit perfectly. Lasted for less than 3 months. I had ordered 2 of them (always have a backup) so I just installed the second one. Hopefully it lasts longer. I am very careful when I install these because they can be finicky. Hopefully this one lasts.

Only heats my Hottub to 98F
When I first installed it. It would keep my hot tub at 101F but now it seems to only be able to maintain a temp of about 98F. What is the factory OHM rating? I can measure it to see if the element is failing. ThanksI bought it in Aug last year and its been acting up since Nov last year.
