Updated to 5 stars!Installed the “Dreamcolor” 6 piece set on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited. Here are a few things to know about this product.Installation:Fairly straight forward, electrically speaking. Main control box goes hardwired to accessory power in the fuse panel; sub-control boxes need individual 12V *constant* power (one on each door), but connect to main control box wirelessly (color control-wise). Note, these only come on when power is applied to the main control box, so no battery discharge should be expected.Placement:Location wise, my install was easier than most as my car’s trim level (Palisade Limited) has the slots for ambient lighting from factory, they just don’t come installed unless you go with the highest trim (Calligraphy). Even still, getting through the door panels themselves was a challenge. Once through, a bit of finesse sets them nicely into the factory slots. Cut to size and tape off end as stated by others. The two dash strips were easier to install (these do go hardwired into the main control box), but required quite a bit of fragile panel and hardware removal. If you’re not used to removing and replacing trim panels, this could be intimidating for some. If you do not have factory slots for ambient lighting, this kit may be a bit challenging to install due to extremely tight tolerances between panels.Final look:Overall, they look and work great. The lights can be controlled via a small button which you can hide discretely under your knee board trim panel. It is however a bit tricky to cycle through the many colors and patterns to get to the color and/or pattern you want. Note, this button does not control brightness level, only color/pattern selection. Your other option is to control your color/pattern AND brightness settings via the app which works a lot quicker for specific settings. There are a ton of color options. I have mine set to a constant, low light cyan which matches a lot of my factory interior lighting, and is mostly visible at night. This kit can be set bright enough to be seen in day light though. Also, the kit remembers your last color/pattern setting and remains there after turning the vehicle off/on.I ordered this kit to look as closely as absolutely possible to the stock ambient lighting kit that comes on the Calligraphy trim. Why not get the highest trim and get the whole thing from factory instead? Among a (very) few minor other options, I saved about $7K off MSRP going with the Limited trim level. So this kit at the price point was the best choice in my case. I’ve gotten many compliments on the install as they look and fit great.One quick note on kit selection:I unknowingly chose the “Dreamcolor” kit, and I did not know that this particular kit flashes a quick rainbow color marquee pattern at each startup, before going to your previous color/pattern selection. I did not like this small detail at all. I instead preferred to have the kit simply power up to my selected color and/or pattern ONLY. *Please not, if you want this last option like I did, you will have to choose the RBG kit instead*. If you want the rainbow marquee pattern at startup, then the Dreamcolor kit will get the job done.As for the seller:GREAT help and communication resolving my issue of the unwanted rainbow pattern. They very quickly and graciously sent me an RBG replacement kit without issue. I just tested it, and sure enough, no rainbow pattern at startup! Just simply starts to my last color choice, exactly as I wanted initially. Excellent communication and assistance from the seller.Upgraded my review to 5 stars as a result of their help. What else can i say something thats made in china, works amazing as should and looks as good as new mercedes ambient lighting. Connected to parking lights power. And thats it... for doors Connected to switch parking lights/interior lights. Thats literally it.. and works no glitches, saves last color and brightness amazing.

Updated to 5 stars for the product, 10 stars for the customer service.Seller contacted me about the faulty 43 inch strip not having a working blue channel, and sent me a replacement that arrived the very next day. Everything is working perfect, and looks fantastic.I purchased the 14 in 1 RGB set. Installation is pretty straight forward for anybody who has done automotive audio or LED lighting before. Just take your time removing panels using the correct tools.I tested each strip before installing to make sure that they lit up and they all did. I failed to notice that the long 43 inch light strip for the dashboard has a non working blue channel only red and green. I tried swapping ports in control module, but no change. That is the only one like that. It shouldn't make a difference but I even cut it at several different places and had no change. Still no blue channel.

Amazing Light, better than expected. Only one problem is the brightness control. Too bright for night driving so must set brightness to minimum, same thing must be done for day driving, set the brightness to maximum otherwise it’s not visible. Wish this device offer light sensing or connection to connect to lighting wire so it dimmed when lights turn on.Otherwise it’s a great addition to my truck ambiance. Save lots of time cause no need to run power wire to doors. Slave controller are connected to constant power.

The media could not be loaded. At first I didn’t know what I was doing till I found out what wiring components needed to go with what, shortly after I figured everything out it was easy to do on every door and the dash board, all the lights are bright and they work perfectly. The lights have different color settings with is fun to have you can mess around with those, and I think it’s worth the money.

The ambient lighting strips exceeded my expectations. They are easy to install and provide a vibrant, customizable glow that transforms any space into a more inviting and stylish environment. The remote control offers a wide range of colors and modes, allowing for flexibility in setting the desired mood. The adhesive backing is strong and keeps the strips securely in place. Overall, these lighting strips are an excellent addition to any home or workspace. Highly recommended!

This doesn’t have many reviews so here I am. I test drove a vw jetta sel with ambient lights and was absolutely in love with the look. I settled on a vw jetta r line for a few reasons. One downside is no ambient lights so to Amazon I went. I found these which which were reasonably priced and looked great! Cut to the install. These are very simple. You will need a fuse tap as well as a ground terminal to hard wire these as there is no 12 volt. I bought the pack of 2 to just so my dash board. Install was difficult, more to the fact of the gaps being insanely tight on my car. You can cut this strip where ever you’d like to get a great fit. Wiring was easy as well as downloading the app controlled lights. They are BRIGHT!!! I had to turn them down in the brightness settings!! The look incredible. Now the downsides of these which there are a few. Number one being that the app leaves a lot but also gives a lot. The patterns are cool but some are buggy and don’t flow properly. Second the included tool to install these does the job but I wish there was just a little more thickness too it so you can pry without it bending. Third, the instructions are actually very decent but they could do a better job. All in all if you are thinking about doing this and getting this set. I would say absolutely worth the money, takes an hour or even less. They have a fun animation when they turn on as well. Overall 4.2/5
