At first I had to find my TV which ended up being #5. The moment I pressed the number, the remote was working immediately.

These are good backup remotes. I like the fact that they are universal remotes, & work for pretty much any of the major, & lesser brands of TVs. Once they are programmed, you don't have to worry about resetting the programming each time. They would not work well for people who get confused with a lot of buttons though. Depending on what brand of smart TV you have, some of the buttons may not work for your TV, & you will have to figure out which buttons do work for your TV. It is easy to use otherwise.

This item came quickly and is super simple to set up and use. The directions are clear and it works great for our Panasonic plasma TV. We don't have a smart TV, so I don't know how well it would work for that, but it does everything we need it to do as far as the basics: changing input, and adjusting volume/channel and TV settings. We use a gaming console for 'smart' functions. All we did was put in the batteries and fire it up. Great value. The only downside is that it is very lightweight and thin, so it's actually kind of hard to hold onto when you're pushing buttons on its upper half.

Adjusting the volume is very annoying. You have to continuously hit the button for the volume to go up or down. The rest is ok and functions as it shouldUPDATE WARNING!I purchased these remotes Sept 13th. Today, Oct 4th, the remote suddenly stopped working. I was on break and turned on the TV to watch the news. It turned the TV on but wouldn't turn it off. I thought it was low batteries so I put in new batteries and it still doesn't work. This is frustrating. I'll keep using my phone app

Used this to replace a lost Vizio remote control. The setup was super easy, just held the button down that corresponded to the brand until the led blinked 3 times. After doing that, it works perfectly fine.It is thin, the only "thick" part of it where the AAA batteries go. The rest is just thick enough for the buttons and the circuit board.

The universal remote worked immediately upon putting the batteries in. I was unsure if I needed to set it up because it seemed to be set up already. I found the instructions a little bit confusing. It fits nicely in your hand and is light. I like how you can hold down the volume button to increase or decrease multiple volume levels. My current universal remote has it so you have to press the button for every level of volume. It’s very annoying. Overall, it seems to be a pretty good remote.

Our kids made off with the old remotes and turned them into toys, so when we switched away from cable and needed a TV remote again, these puppies came to the rescue! They work great, super easy to sync and we've had no issues with them so far! And our TV is over 15 years old!
