Damaged item.
Arrived today unwrapped and damaged. Looks like an old book certainly not new and worth the 40 pounds I paid. It was a gift so very annoying.

Maravilloso.

This book is a treasure
Unfortunately whoever shipped this did not wrap the book in bubblewrap, and the outside cover is ripped an inch, but at least the corners were not crushed. With a book of this price, the people who package the items should be more careful and not just put it in a box floating free on some plastic. That said, the images in this book are unbelievably beautiful. This is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. This temple was built was built between 30 B.C. and 14 A.D. and is decorated in the Egyptian style but the Greek influence is obvious and the figures on the walls are painted beautifully in a wonderful blue color and feels like a celebration of the starry realms. Some of the most amazing reliefs of the sky goddess Nut are in this temple along with the famous zodiac of Dendera which was moved to the Louvre. This book is a painstaking reconstruction of the reliefs on the walls of the Dendera temple. The author's exquisite photos and commentary reveal how the Egyptians viewed time, space, death and rebirth in the heavenly blue starry realms where the pharoahs hoped to become an indestructible star in the heavens after death.
