Faber-Castell TK9400 2mm 3B Clutch Pencil

Have now bought a few of these in various hardness. they have become my favourite mechanical pencils as they are comfortable, the quality of the leads seems good and most importantly the lettering on the side of the pencil hasn't worn off with use.One thing to watch out for though if you buy the 6B version of this, the lead and pencil are both thicker and if you apply too much pressure the lead will break inside the pencil. this is NOT a problem with any of the other versions of this (2H, HB 3B are all excellent).

Nice clutch pencil I bought as a different colour to others I have so I could easily tell them apart. About the same weight as a regular pencil. Just not as nice as the Staedler Mars Technico which just feels better and has a sharpener built in. The 3b lead is very smooth.

This is my second Faber Castell clutch pencil and I will be buying more. Supplied with super smooth graphite. Easier to keep sharp than wood cased pencils and more environmentally friendly. The mechanism is much more simple than some other mechanical pencils, so there is less to go wrong and it feels like it will last for years.

Bought this for carrying with me as I like using 3B's for quick sketching but don't always have the time to sharpen a normal pencil. With this I can retract the lead to save it from damage until I need it.

Clever idea, word of advice be sure to buy the tiny sharpener! The pencil itself is a little heavy at first but after using it for a couple of hours, you adapt to it, I did anyway.

I wanted to hear what all the "best of" buzz was about so I ordered it. I guess for the money it's okay. It does what it is supposed to do. So that's worth 2 stars. Now what I don't like is the button squeaks. When you depress it there is this annoying squeak. Really? Is it better than my Mitsubishi Uni clutches... not at all. The lead is strangely hard for a 3b. Of course I'm used to Mitsubishi Uni lead when is some of the softest creamiest lead out there so... Just toss that and replace. It squeaks. The clutch part doesn't retract all the way in. Not that it is a big deal but I expected better really. Seems more narrow than my other clutches. Overall I won't buy another.

Helt okej drop penna, men det kunde vara mer vikt och lite större grepp. För den känns lite tunn och lätt vilket ger mindre känsla i dragen och i handen. Hoppas den håller bättre än dom andra modellerna jag har haft som oftast släpper på den främre nypan som håller grafit stifftet, pga att den är limmad och dras isär av fjädern på dom.. men va inte det här märket.
