Works well, but could be improved
This collet clamp works great when you can get the collet to stop spinning and tighten up. A key slot and pin would be an desired improvement.

Fits ProJect Debut Carbon Esprit
Bought bothe the low profile Record Doctor clamp and the Nobsound clamp to see which one actually fit for a ProJect Carbon DC with the acrylic platter.Which fits? Both, but the Record Doctor had issues. The Knobsound and RD both fit under the cover with the acrylic platter no problem. The issue arose when I then tried both clamps with standard vinyl and 180g. The Nobsound works with both thickness records, and is the one I kept. The RD ONLY works with standard LP thickness on the Carbon DC w acrylic platter. With 180g vinyl, the RD would pop right off because it can't grab enough of the short spindle to retain. There ya go, the confirmed clamp you have been looking for on the ProJect table with acrylic platter- the Nobsound is it! Too bad the aluminum Michelle clamp can't be gotten stateside, so this is the next best thing.

Easy to use
Opted for a clamp rather than a weight. Was told either one would work. I haven't run across any severely warped records yet, so I can't comment on how well it will work there. It looks like it would improve the situation, though. I really don't notice any difference in sound, but I don't have a very sensitive ear. Still glad I got it in case I do run into some warpage. Also, it does appear to stabilize the record, which should help extend needle and groove life. Just press firmly and screw down the nut. Perfect fit for my table.

This clamp works, it is not snake oil.
I bought this product thinking it was probably snake-oil but took a chance hoping I was wrong. I was definitely wrong, it really tightens up the bass on a high-end system. I didn't hear any difference on highs, mid-range or rumble but the difference in tight clear bass was quite Impressive. It will also straighten out a concave shaped record but won’t do anything for a record with a warped outer edge. If your on the fence about buying this clamp get one, it definitely improves sound quality in the bass area. I've never used a clamp before but this clamp is super easy to use. If you have ⅛” or slightly less of straight spindle shaft sticking out of the record, it will work. It uses a collet to grab the spindle and will not scratch or damage the spindle. As far as spindle thickness is concerned, if a record fits on the spindle so will this clamp. To use it, hold it down on the record with one hand and put as much pressure as you want and then tighten the top hand nut with the other hand. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to improve the quality of their sound. I was honestly shocked at the sonic difference.

Easily noticeable reduction in sibilance
One of the nagging issues with my carefully-tuned Dual CS606 was a bit of sibilance. After applying the clamp, it's greatly reduced. Definitely recommended.

Works on Pro-Ject Carbon Debut
I have a Pro-ject Carbon Debut Esprit SB. This clamp's profile is low enough to use with the dust cover.I can't really comment on an audible difference but that was not my intent for implementing this clamp. It was purchased to ease my stylus' journey through mildly warped records. PS Initially, I had trouble getting the clamp to catch. You must put the clamp on as one piece, rather than assembling the clamp onto the record.

Nice solid upgrade for not a lot of cash.
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and it does seem to improve the low end response. I am using Fluance powered bookshelf speakers modified to go through a powered subwoofer and the bass does seem tighter. Keeping in mind I play mainly used vinyl from 50+ years ago but I think for the money this is a solid upgrade.

Works great on MOST albums.
I love this clamp because it isn't a weight. It literally clamps onto the spindle on your record player. You place it over the spindle, gently press down while tightening the screw. Done, unless you are playing 180 or higher gram records. On my turntable (a Pioneer PL-7) the spindle isn't long enough for the clamp to work on the heavier gram records. This is not a problem for me as it does work will almost all "standard" records which makes up the overwhelming majority of the records I own. Just be aware of this issue if the spindle on your turntable is on the short side. Overall I highly recommend this Nobsound record clamp as I believe it does add clarity to the sound.

clamp is better than weight IMO --> visually can see it.
The media could not be loaded. review: Nobsound Disc Stabilizer Record Weight Turntable LP Vinyl Clamp Vibration Damper POMSo generally i dont think weights nor clamps do too much for most vinyl that are in good shape. But the odd few that you know are slightly warped, i can visually see that it flattens the disc somewhat so yeah it should help in theory. tonnes of youtube examples where you could hear a difference but only under scrutiny.I moved away from weight based stabilizers and i opted for this clamp based product instead because in theory, i feel like this makes more sense than weights that are often large profile.this one is low profile and allows me to put the dust cover on my rega without hitting it no problem. its very light and should not impact your TT motor operation at all. It clamps onto my rega p2 spindle fine and you twist it for the grip. i definitely can visually see that it does work .... for severely warped stuff this isnt going to fully flatten of c ourse---> for that , youd need the edge based stabilizers ($$$$!).things i dont like:1. although this is already one of the "cheapest" out there, i find it way overpriced. its plastic with a soft metal core for clamping.2. i dislike that there is no foam or soft bottom -- its just plastic. wouldve been nice that the clamp's bottom side has a foam finish to press against the record label. Rather its plastic bare.3. i wish this had a black powder coated / painted center rather than the silvery chrome look.so yeah it works OK. Do i hear a big difference? no. but i like the idea that it DOES flatten the record so your tonearm isnt womping up and down as much.i can easily recommend this over weight-based stabilizers. i have two weight based pucks and they dont work as well as this clamp. See video with a warped record rotating without any stabilizer, with a weight based stabilizer and then with this clamp... You can see my weight puck doesn't do anything... The clamp actually does SLIGHTLY flatten the record.Hope this helps

Locks on to the turntable platter % stars if with bottom anti friction lining
Used as it came it could not prevent the record from turning by hand with the platter held with the other hand. Lined with cork as shown I was not able to turn the record while the platter was restrained. Sellers often claim that the purpose of a weight or a clamp is to flatten a warped record which is mechanically impossible since the restraining force is too far removed from the rim. However, when a record is mechanically coupled to the turntable platter by clamping, it becomes one with the platter which in my Yamaha is 10 pounds!. Thus it is impossible for the record to move out of sync with the platter and downgrading the sound. My 600-gram weight Audio Technica also lined with cork provides some restraining force (at the expense of the bearings) but does not achieve total locking as the 80-gram Nobsound does. I could notice the improvement in a high quality LP with the AT, and suspect the results with the lined Nobsound will be equal or superior. The benefits are in the very detailed highs and slam in the bass. The price of the Nobsound is OK and comes in a very nice box but the box is totally redundant compared to the lining which is far cheaper than the box and 1000% more useful. I am delighted with the Nobsound and will get rid of the dummy and my bearings will thank me.

Does what it's made for
Basically a copy of J.A. Michell record clamp, but cheaper. Used on Fluance RT85 and works great even with 180gr LP's. These are not designed to flattened warped records, might help a bit but this is not what this is made for. Clamps couple your vynil record with the platter to remove vibrations and resonance. Did not make a huge difference on sound but it does a slight improvement and with HIFI, every little + add up, so I'm happy with the purchase. Works as expected and is well made. I still think it's too expensive for what it is but much cheaper than most other options from we'll known hifi brands.

Good alternative to more expensive (and heavy) options
The description for item this has “weight” in the title, but to be clear, this is a clamp, not a weight (see many articles online about the difference). While not as well made or substantial as the Project Clamp-It, this much less expensive option is an excellent alternative. Very lightweight (so good for turntables of any power) and with a very low profile (can’t imagine any dust cover coming in contact with it). Have tried it with a fairly severely bowled 180 gram album that needed a fair amount of force to get it flat, and the clamp easily held it in place. I did buy one of these in the past that had some issue with the quality of the screw milling, but this one is smooth and easily applied and removed. Comes with nice wooden box.

Might actually be working
Dunno. Was getting lots of distortion from organs on Blue Note jazz pressings. This seems to have helped, or maybe I just think it did. What is with the wooden box? Could have saved a few pennies there...Clamp idea works well, stays tight, come off easily. Was not keen on testing the bearings in my new tt with a 28oz puck!
