This is a pretty cool little tool. It's advertised as an Ear cleaning endoscope but you can use it for an unlimited number of small spaces that you want to look at. Obviously ears and nose are places you would not usually be able to look in unless you went to the doctor so it could save you a trip if you thought something was stuck in yours or a childs, but don't discount this object for other purposes such looking in tight spaces behind furniture or inside the sofa or even inside a wall. (Although, it is pretty cool to be able to look in your own ear! So it's entertaining too!)The software was easily downloadable and worked well on the laptop (windows) and my android phone. It does not work with iphones. There's not much to it besides the software and plug in and use. The pictures are pretty clear for most things. Although it is waterproof, the picture does get slightly blurry when wet but I don't think there is any way around that when the lens gets wet. It is easily cleaned with water and a soft cloth after use. I also recommend wiping it with an alcohol wipe if you are going to put it in your nose or ear.

Camera works great! The led light is bright and the camera is clear. The software works with Windows 10 and I was able to get it to work on a Macbook Pro as well (with the Photo Booth app). The earwax picker is not so stable and can come off at anytime however, I was able to use it.You will just need to be extra careful when using the picker.FYI - would like to add that even though this product is not Mac compatible (as stated), it does work with the Photo Booth software but not all the time. I have to constantly plug and unplug it till the software recognizes it.

Everything seems good for the price except the plug. I use the USB C type plug with my Nexus 6P and any bump or movement makes it fail. I have to set up my phone to be stationary, and I set it on top of the cable so moving the camera around won't move the plug at all. Plugged into my computer with the regular USB plug (type B) it works fine, though I have yet to find a good program to use it with.For a phone app I have been using WebUSBCamera which has the ability to flip left-right, up-down, or both. That is a must have for any app or program for this camera as the direction of the camera can get very confusing. I know this came with a tiny software disk and I will look at that sometime. I'll update this review when I do.The light is nice and bright. It only focuses in a certain range and it magnifies much like looking through a microscope. Good for looking at small things in great detail. No good for looking into a duct or open space through a small opening.

This works ok under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS using the generic UVC driver. Install guvcview to use it. "lsusb" lists it as "Sunplus Innovation Technology, Inc." with iManufacturer = "SunplusIT Inc" and iProduct as "HP HD Camera". It supports uncompressed and MJPEG frames.The picture quality seems to have very heavy smoothing done in hardware. It will display 720p at around 15fps about like the other cheap china webcams. I used it to take a picture of a ruler, and focal distance is 0.5 to 0.75 inch. This is a bit long for an ear cam, but it still works well enough. To get the best picture, hold the camera still for a couple seconds to allow for AGC and smoothing to do their thing. LED brightness in mine is thankfully controlled by a hardware knob close to the USB connector. No special drivers needed for the lights.The description says it is supposed to come with a bellows, but I never saw it in the package.The ear spoon on mine mounts at an odd angle compared to the received picture. This makes it a little confusing to move around, but this is only a $20 scope and is still far easier and cheaper than a doctor for handling the minor things. Overall, I would recommend.

What a cool little device. I purchased this to assist me with looking at delicate electronics and during repairs. So far it has don’t a great job. The software was a little weird but I got the hang of it in a few minutes. I really like the size and form factor. I immediately used it to diagnose a blown capacitor in a hvac unit with a board that was hard to see without taking it apart. I also used it to look into my wall while drilling to run some hoses through the dry wall and avoid plumbing and power. Pretty cool device.

I am going to send this back, it installs great on a PC but in order to really get a good look with the cleaner attachment you need to be able to turn the screen around and I cannot do that with a PC. it does not install on my Samsung S8+, get an install error every time so it is useless to me if I cannot setup on my phone. Picture is good on the PC but I wanted this for my phone, not the PC

If no video, just a black screen, then pull off from the end of the scope the 10 mm plastic sleeve with the black dot, which protects the lens. This step is not in the instructions. But the sleeve fits so thinly, that it might not be noticed.Rotate: Before approaching the ear, point to something recognizable in the room and rotate the scope until what you see is right-side up. Then, when you approach the ear up-down hand motions will produce up-down results and left-right will be left-right.The lens and light are made too big to fit inside the ear canal. The loop does enter just the outer part of the canal.Worked for me on Android and Windows 10.

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Im just trying to save you some time and money. The manuel provides a QR code to download the software, but it is unable to open. The manuel also provides 3 other websites to find info and download software but none of the websites exist. i also tried running software of the google play store, that didn't work either. plugged into my s8 anyway, the quality is so poor it can't establish a good connection so it just flashes on and off. nothing about this product worked for me hope you have better luck.

Bought this to inspect and clean my elderly father's ears. Saved him trips to the Dr. and also is easy to use. The price is very fair for this item.

had to send it back, it had like no focusing ability, was very bad image and barely usable. sometimes you get what you pay for.
