Smith-Victor Pro-Duty Copy Stand 36-inch with LED Light Kit

I received the copy stand, which is a good quality product and works well, but the LED lights were not included. Obviously, it's tough to use without the ability to cast light as needed.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this item to copy old family photos but the quality is unexpectedly low, making it difficult to use effectively. I expected a much higher quality build for the price.Cons. I am so disappointed in the quality of several parts of this item which make it an overall very poor experience.• The copy stand has a plastic mount for the camera that flexes under the weight of my Nikon d750 plus 60mm lens. Also it is not perfectly square to the base below (see grid image shot thru camera)•. There is no built in mechanism to adjust/fix the camera angle, but if one is added between the unit and camera the flex problems become much too severe to be useable.•. Even when directly mounted, there is significant movement of the camera on the mount when touching buttons or focusing lens, the later is particularly problematic as it can move after letting go after focusing (see video).•. I like the output of the LED light panels, but they are extremely difficult to position,• The light panels have a very cheap plastic mount, and very cheap plastic adjustable elbow, and lack the kind of flexibility to position correctly.•. One of the lights in my set does not align perpendicular to the base when screwed together.Pros. This has a nice high quality base, with a nice grid pattern to help position originals. It also has a useful mechanism to raise/lower that makes it easy to position without having to tighten knobs.

Once unpacked I hard a hard time finding the package taped to the upright. This package contained the mounting screws and tools. I had to search and cut through several layers of tape and plastic to locate it. Assembly then started and not difficult. Looking forward to many hours of digitizing my old photographs. The lights worked great and provide excellent power to be able to copy the old photos with good shutter speed and Proper F/.

This copy stand is sturdy and stable - very well built. I bought an adapter for the camera mount and currently use my iPhone for a camera and it works well. The light temperature looks pretty white, but the images I have made so far have good and natural color. I highly recommend this copy stand.

Straightforward to assemble. The head moves up and down smoothly with a friction lock, not ratchet. Lamps are bright but better if you add your own flash. It freezes all motion. The stand is solid but slight motion is inevitable. For the sharpest images it is best to have electronic flash.

I have been shopping for a copy stand for quite some time as I have a need to have one handy for a project that I will soon be undertaking. It is a solid piece of equipment, well constructed and steady.

Solid. Easy to assemble. Camera movement is fluid and locks well. Very stable base. Arms for lights are a little flimsy but I was using a lot of lights!

Well designed copy stand allowing for multiple lighting positions. Had some difficulty using camera mounting hardware, but seller has VERY GOOD tech support which helped to resolve.
