Sumner Manufacturing 784520 Magnetic Centering Punch, Steel/Stainless Steel (Sum 784520)

I used a co-workers vile centering tool with the adjustable degree ring what a pain and not very accurate!!!! I had used a digital angle finder from H. F. so when I saw this I knew it was going to be exact. The magnets are very strong, a previous review said they were not.. wrong they are very strong but you need to hold the unit in place when you release the pin per the instructions. It comes with a super cool case foam lined and fitted so again just detail to quality from this company. I've used it and am totally impressed and my work is dead on, no more comments from the boss, co-workers, or clients about things being off and I can show them proof.. Great job on this!!!

If your a Pipefitter, this is differently a nice tool to have. The build quality is very high, parts are thick and made to last. My unit worked all the way up to and including 10" pipe. Level come pre calibrated and set from the factory, and always returns to true level when powered on. The only flaw and it's minor, is how the level attaches to the V. Seems like it could detached at a bad time, its magnetic and made to be removable. I put a small dab of epoxy and made it permanent, also don't need it walking away in the shop. Plus it includes a nice case, overall a quality product

Center punch striker does not mark/ reach pipe. It's worthless if I can't mark the pipe.
