Durability
I bought this for my sons birthday and he loves it, I was abit apprehensive about if the bricks would lock together properly and just how long it would be before it started breaking apart but so far it has exceeded all expectations. The bricks fit together perfectly and haven't had a problem with a single piece falling off or refusing to click together even after it has been dismantled. Was well worth the it

Cheap
So fiddly and hard to build. It comes apart so easily. My son gets annoyed and cries whilst trying to build it. I tried to help but it so off putting as the pieces are cheaply made and don’t connect, they are loose. Also we’re missing the bag no 6. My husband used cellotape to hold the base so my son can build the rest of the ship on it.

Great value for money for a good quality set
With Lego pirate ships now mostly out of production this set is a good alternative and excellent value for the price. It’s the correct scale and has lots of nice details. The instructions are comprehensive and it’s not too tricky to build.Generally the quality is good and it feels like a more expensive branded set. If Lego is 10/10 this is a solid 8. The bricks are compatible.I didn’t expect it from the images but the set does come with 5 figures which look like characters from pirates of the Caribbean. They’re not exactly the same as Lego mini figures - they have different legs and aren’t completely interchangeable, but they’re ok.The slight drop off in quality is most noticeable in the design which doesn’t feel that robust in some places. Not sure it will stand up to very enthusiastic play of young children. The connection of the two parts of the main mast for example feels quite flimsy. But hey - it can just be rebuilt if it collapses!Pros.- Really good price.- large set.- good instructions.- lots of nice details and working parts- comes with stickers and figures.Cons- slightly poorer quality than branded sets in some areas. Figures not as good, cannons don’t fire etc.- construction feels less robust in some areas- couple of design flaws, but mostly fixableOverall would recommend.

Value for money
Brilliant. As described on the box. It's definitely value for money.

Good fun
This building set works well and the bricks are well made, in fact they are virtually identical to the brand name and all the bricks fit together perfectly. The instructions are also similar to the real brand, in the colours used and the way the diagrams are laid out. It is a slightly tricky build and I would say a minimum of age 9 or 10 would be better, there's no way a 6 year old could build this.

Yo ho Le... Oh!
Yeah, it’s not that brand that everyone loves, and for the most part I am, absolutely faithful to the one brand! That aside I am also a fan of all things of a pirate nature and could not resist this set. It’s a pirate ship and what’s not to like about that! it has little doors and hatches and cannons and a sail and… treasure it has treasure but, alas, no pirates. This may sound like a small omission but, where are the yo-ho-ho, rum swigging, shanty singing, pirates? You just can’t have a pirate ship without pirates… can you?Well, this set has none, and it’s a little sadder for it.It is a good ship though so - I will let them of this one time… I recommend.
