My bird took to this heater right away. I held in my hands when he was out so it wouldn't startle him. He sleeps by at every night.

My bird is a parakeet named Milo. I use the cage heater to maintain an adequate heat level for Milo without having to warm the whole house during the night and some colder days. Considering that this lovely singling birds come from the deserts of Australia where temperatures vary from the day to cold nights. I love it now my bird can sleep warm and cozy.

4 stars because of the size, much larger than expected.I was skeptical since others said don’t get a heated perch “it could burn their feet”. But this doesn’t get TOO hot, not enough to burn my gcc feet BUT it’s definitely warm enough to keep his cage warm at night during the winter. He doesn’t sit on it, not that I’ve noticed but he sits close to it. I think it’s scary to him because it’s really big lol but it definitely keeps him warm & works like a charm!

What is this? I was extending a small black heated perch. This is used, gray, massive and with tape. I want a refund NOW.

Would be a great product if they took into consideration that birds eat cords. It could be better If they could somehow designed it to where the cord was encased in something like PVC to keep from your bird chewing on it.

Our rescue is still wary of the new heater; However, at night the heater does help to keep her warm at night.(Birds are notorious for not liking new... Once she figures out it is warm, she will snuggle up.)
