Vic FirthAmerican Sound® Drumsticks AS5A - American Hickory - Round Wood Tip

I buy Vic Firth as they are excellent sticks. I usually use 5b sticks with traditional teardrop tips.These round tips play beautifully, they roll around the kit and are precise, responsive and they suit my heavy jazzy style brilliantly.Swift dispatch also , ordered an extra pair straight away.Rock on Tommy!

I thought I'd try these round headed sticks for use with an orchestral snare drum...I had previously been using the "standard" tear drop shape heads, and was skeptical as to whether these would make any difference... How wrong I was!I'm not sure exactly why, but drum rolls with these sticks are smoother and more easily controlled (I had to swap back to the equivalent weight tear drop type to be sure, but there's definitely a difference!)... Also, these seem to allow better dynamic control - useful if you're trying to swap seamlessly between players in Bolero (say) !I still perfer my various tear drop vic firths for kit playing, but these are now my favourite go-to sticks for pretty much everything else.

Vic firth are great sticks. Been a drummer since a young age and always loved vic firth sticks. Good weight, strength and rout tips for sound clarity. Good price.

Hard to find the round beads. Promark also makes a 7A with the round bead, but I’ve played both and like these much better. I don’t use them to play with a set, but I found them perfect for a practice pad and snare drum rudiments.

These are the sticks my son has used for the past dozen years or so. His new studio resulted in the need for more sets of sticks and this product and vendor did not disappoint.

These are the right up there with the best drum sticks that I’ve used and I’ve been playing for 35 years. They feel great and match up perfectly. I’ve been using them for over a month, haven’t broken them and the tips are still there! That’s not usually the case:)
