Save Your Watermelon Seeds
What leads a nation to suffer a crippling financial meltdown? Our leaders; they are greedy.Someone once told me it's not what happens to you, but how you handle the situation. C.S. Patton hascreated a lot of situations and characters who take the reader on a page-turning adventure from the advantage of living in Oklahoma City. Iliked the book and enjoyed her perspective of survival through growing the food chain. I now feel the need to save all my watermelon seeds.Lois

Exciting Narrative
I appreciated the author's ability to present a riveting national crisis narrative with a well thought out plan for sustainability mingled with the ever present instincts for self preservation and greed. The cast of leaders and antiheroes provided a complexity consistent with real life where no one is singly purposed, but each of us have a breaking point that leads us to be at times heroic and at other times terrifying. Love the backdrop of actual areas in Oklahoma City to give the story a feeling that it is a "not so distant in the future" scenario. Would've personally liked to have more backstory on both the General and the Titan 3 inventor to understand more what motivated their actions. Great job CS Patton

Seed Review
Seed is a well written and very enjoyable book . I thought the premise of infrastructure breaking down and being to forced to adapt was very plausible. Made me wonder about the things/lifestyle I take for granted at times and how I would adjust. I enjoyed the characters and their ongoing development throughout the book. Plenty of plot twists, suspense and surprises made this a difficult book to put down.

C.S. Patton is a phenomenally smart writer who clearly put a lot of thought and details into the large array of characters.I enjoyed the fact that this is clearly fiction, but feels so modern, considering our current state of affairs in the U.S.A. It is also lovely to see the story written about OKC and highlights their successful community garden.I can't wait to see what she will write next!!Note: I received a free advance copy of this book and was asked to submit my honest opinion.
