I just received this thermometer and it keeps reading below the normal body temperature. I bought this for my classroom, so the need for it to be accurate is important. The other thermometer that I use reads the average temperature which Is 97.9 and this thermometer is reading between 95.1 to 96.1 and I've tried it on several of my students. It's a concern because I want to make sure their temperatures are reading as accurate as it possibly can.

The battery is 90% dead as soon as I unboxed the product. I remove the battery protector. I pressed on button. I could hardly read the print. It kept saying ERR. When it did turn on briefly, it never beeped. Please send a new thermometer OR send me the a NEW tiny batter ASAP. Thank you.

It never gives a consistent accurate reading. I have never seen a 98.6 reading. Basically it appears to be useless garbage. Unfortunately I was not well and did not return it within the 30 days to get my money back.I will give it to my grandkids to play doctor.

I bought this to record my basal body temp and I take my temperature every morning as soon as I open my eyes. for the past week, I have been taking my temp for at least 4 times in a row and each time I get a different number!!! I also wish that I had bought a Thermometer with LED light. It is very hard to read the number on the screen if the room is not very bright. I throw the box out otherwise I would have returned it. I think I will go and buy another thermometer.

I've tried several different kinds of thermometers and none of them were accurate. When I received the Vive, it worked but I had to keep checking the thermometer for at least a minute after it chimed until my temp stopped climbing. Vive emailed me asking about my satisfaction. When I told them about the problem, they immediately sent me another. This one worked much better. It is still not quite right when it chimes but it only takes a few seconds longer. Most accurate thermometer I've had in years.

There are a couple of problems with this thermometer. First, it thinks its done way before it's actually done. If I just put the thermometer in my mouth and press the button, it beeps after several seconds and reports a temperature of 96. However, if I keep taking my temperature with the thermometer still in my mouth, the temperature continues to rise until it hits 98 around the third or fourth time.The second problem is that the highest temperature reported is still inaccurate. I tested this thermometer shortly after getting my temperature taken at a doctors office, and this was .8 degrees too low.

pretty fast reading time. A few reiews said that the battery was dead on arrival. It has one of those protective little pieces of plastic like they have for watches and like light up headband so that it doesn't accidentally turn on and wear out the battery. There's a sticker on the display but it's not very direct. You have to pull off the gray part. The first time I took my temperature it was 100.4 but then I took it again and it was normal temp. I have a second thermometer but the battery is dying. I took my temperature on that one and it was relatively the same as this one. these types of "consumer" thermometers are regulary off by .5 to 1 degree. The ones that are for the ear are the most accurate. So if you want a a more accurate reading, you gotta invest the $80+. You do get what you pay for. But most people, like me, are not going to spend a ton of money on a thermometer. Although, this may be the time to do it...

Worse than nothing. The thermometer has always read one degree low. Suspected, so checked against mercury thermometer and doctor's digital thermometer. Also, the alarm is so quiet no one can hear it. Barely auditable. Have to throw it away and buy one that actually works. Vive PRECISION, I don't think so.
