Very easy to replace the pads. All you need to do it remove both dust caps and discard them. Take a screwdriver or similar item and insert it into the hole where the dust caps were and give it a sharp tap and the old pad (and shims if fitted) will simply drop out onto the ground. Insert the new pad (don’t use the shims at this point) and press it back into place. You’ll hear a click and that’s one side done, fit the new dust covers and that’s the job done.Repeat for the other side. If when using the hitch you find it’s slightly loose repeat the process and fit one shim to each side until the hitch offers some resistance when locking the handle down.

Great product. Easy to fit. Took the grinding and squeaking noise off the hitch instantly. Didn't realise how worn the old pads were till I got the new ones.

The parts arrived quickly and the friction pads and plugs fit and work perfectly.The shims are not as described or shown and are not in fact shims at all. Two standard 12mm washers were supplied, which are more than three times thicker than an Alko shim. Also the hole in the washer isn’t large enough to allow is to sit flat on the back of the friction pads. If someone with no mechanical knowledge tried to use the washers as shims, not only would they not be able to push the hitch lever down far enough to lock it onto the towball but they could also damage the friction pads while trying to do it.The pads and plugs are perfect, the washers/shims are a joke.

Easy to fit and works really well, be warned there are two shim washers on each pad, these are to be fitted when the pads begin to wear, if you fit these shims on new pads you will find it is to tight.

Wechsel ging schnell und die Passung ist gut. Erste Fahrt nach Italien unternommen, Funktioniert einwandfrei.Verschleiß und Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nicht beurteilen, werde die Rezension aber zu gegebener Zeit ergänzen.Hinweis: die Montage ist recht simpel und schnell selbst durchzuführen.Was man aber beachten sollte: die Beläge werden durch Kegelrollenlager gesteckt.Beim Ausbau also die alten Beläge vorsichtig raus drücken und aufpassen das die Lager nich runterfallen.
