Q: Can this aquarium heater be used outdors?

Outdoors in what? It has to be immersed in water. Not sure it is rated for outdoor use. I have it in a 5 gallon aquarium inside the house.

Q: How long is the cord?

It’s about 4 feet. We have the heater attached to the front glass and the cord reaches around the side of the aquarium yo the electric socket on the wall behind it.

Q: Is it safe to use in a plastic tank?

Yes, of course, but please note no matter what kind of tanks, all the heater must be under water to use.

Q: How do you turn the temp down? I kept pressing, but it doesn’t go back to lower temp
