brass plated, not solid brass
I bought these to experiment making some modern chains in my jewelry studio but when I tried to heat them with my torch I was disappointed to find out that they were pot metal, and blew up when heated!Buyer beware, these are just plated items! I guess they are fine as washers as long as you aren't concerned with having them be solid brass.
