Sun Zapper Extreme Zinc SPF50+ Face Stick - Red Flash

I’ve had zinc sticks recommended to me by doctor colleagues for essential sun protection, especially in the pool when sun reflects on the the face from the water. I purchased the slightly skin toned tinted one so that it wasn’t completely obvious I was wearing it. If you looked closely you could tell it was a slightly darker colour than my skin, however it’s not makeup and doesn’t have to blend perfectly (I am also very pale so not surprising.) However, I didn’t burn on my face once in 40 degree heat when in the pool everyday on holiday. So it works very well. Also being a stick application, it was easy to apply to my wriggly toddler’s face, as opposed to normal suncream where I would have to try and apply it and rub it in which he hates. It is expensive, but I applied it a few times a day to mine and my husband’s and son’s face and there is loads left. So a little goes a long way.

Had a concern about sun exposure at top of cheekbones just under my eyes when out playing golf in Spain. Had used regular lotion previously, which of course ended up eventually oozing into my eyes after an hour or so (though not an excuse for my bad golf shots; I already have 99 other excuses for those).This stuff, however, stays put and as it's sort of skin-toned it doesn't make me look like a 69ers quarterback! Just apply then gently rub in to the area with a fingertip and you are good to go for a whole round with no stingy eyes to have to cope with.

Had to chase up the order BUT it came the next day so that was fine. Thought it would be a larger size, but will try it out on holidays (not until end of the year & come back to leave a review).Many thanks

This is a great item, goes on easy as a stick. Colour is good which means you can see exactly where it is applied.Used for surfing and stays on in water for a while.

I’ve bought this in ‘tan’ as I’ve got some small burns on my skin which I need to keep protected from UV if we ever actually see the sun this year!I’ve got pretty fair skin so I was expecting this to be a bit fake-tanny but it has colour matched really well and it is thick enough to completely cover the dark scar on my arm.It’ll be difficult to give a good review of the sun protection as I’ll be using it on top of my normal factor 50 as an extra precaution. Plus the burn could be very light sensitive so it might be an unfair test.But for ease of application, coverage and colour match it gets 5stars. And on testing it covered like concealer for several hours, so seems to have staying power.Size wise, I was expecting it to be the size of a lip balm but it’s more like a medium Pritt stick so not too bad. Should last the whole ‘summer’ - it’s meant for sensitive bits after all, not as a full body sun cream.

I found the Sunblock stick to hard for me and a little difficult to apply. It worked as a sunblock, which is the main purpose.

Always got burn on nose but after using this on holiday in Tenerife this didn’t happen.

I live and surf in Hawaii and typically use a much more expensive zinc stick from another company. I decided to try this because it's so much cheaper and brought both on a surf trip to the Maldives where the sun is even stronger than Hawaii. It worked just as well as the more expensive stuff and I actually like the color (tan) a tiny bit better. So I'll be buying this from now on.

This stuff is far superior for blocking the sun then the chemical sunblocks. Even SPF 50 allows me to get burned. This stuff stays on and completely blocks the sun. Plus, you’re not gonna get cancer from all those chemicals.

I am in sun, on the lake almost every day. My lips are very sensitive to sun rays after being burnt before. I use this every day and it works great!

My kids loved painting their faces with this while we were at the lake for several days. Some colors were hard to wash off but no one got sunburnt.

Great in water and sun protection, will get all over your hands if you wipe your face or put sunglasses on it. So be mindful of it, just smears kinda easily.
