The journal you need to position it a certain way and it will open be warned the sleeves are a very tight fit2.) Takes the pen a bit to get used to writing (meaning it'll start functioning properly when writing) love the twist function pens

Journal cover is just as advertised. It’s very pretty. Clever, how the clasp to close the notebook doubles as a pin holder.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a really charming journal with pen set.The gold buckle on the outside with the fastener to keep the journal closed gives it a classy appearance. The clasp does not hold too firmly, however, it does keep the journal from opening.The inside is really nice with slots for holding credit cards, business cards, or even small notes/sticky pad papers. The lined papers are perfect for making journal entries, or notes from meetings, school, etc.The notebook itself can be removed from the casing, which is really nice because you can add other notebooks when the provided one is finished.The pen is very slender and has a rubber tip for using on cellphones, tablets, etc. The pen does write smoothly and glides nicely on paper when writing, however, when I was twisting the pen to reveal the tip there was a strange crackling noise and it took about a second or two before I could get the actual point of the pen out.In the overall this is a really great journal set that would make a nice gift for anyone who likes writing or taking notes.

The leather isn’t real leather obviously. It’s pleather. Doesn’t have a strong smell at all! For the appearance, it is very sleek and very everyday look. No imperfections or ugly brand label. The cover has a really nice texture. The latch is a great pen holder that they give you. The pen itself is a twist to get the tip. But most THIN pens can fit into the holder to lock the cover with journal inside.The inside itself is really nice too. There’s no loose threads or glue. It’s very well made! And like I said, the journal is able to switched out with another paper thin one. And the cards fit really snug without scratching them either. looks like it’ll be good for long term use!

This is a nice notebook for someone that needs a little more storage. It is exactly as pictured. The leather feel of it is smooth and it's not heavy to carry around. I like that it closes with the pen insert, that'a nice touch. It could have included a book mark as an added bonus.

Pros: Comes with a pen. It is a very thin pen. Has stylus on one end. Has slots for business cards Good spacing between lines Pocket inside Case is reusable Although it does not lay flat easily, the binding can be stretched a little bit and the pages smoothed down and the pages will lay down fairly well. Cons: I don’t like the way the case closes. I’m not a fan of having to take the time to feed the loop through the hole every single time. I didn’t really think about that at the time I ordered it, but after receiving it, I really dont care for that.

Ordered a pack of these for my daughter and they work great! She loves to sketch and doodle, and use them for school. If you just need something easy to use for schoolwork and other purposes. This is exactly what you need.
