Will never go back to neck straps..
Bit fiddly first few times you put it on, but once accustomed to it, its easy. And i feel so much more comfortable walking around with my camera now.Ive attatched a back up tether but it shpuld be fine. Im already in the habbit of checking the screw connection everytime im about to place the camera by my side. When locked in position, its remarkable how well the camera stays at your side. One negative is that its difficult to get high or very low shots, unless you have made the strap long. So low or high perspectives may require you to disconnect the strap, which is no quick task.. Especially in the cold. But for 90% of walkabout shooting, it wont be a problem.Very pleased with it. Despite the extra hassle if you want high/low perspectives, its so much more comfortable and makes walking around with your camera a pleasure!A tad expensive, but it seems well made at first glance, and the design is brilliant.I had to purchase a new manfrotto tripod mount screw, this way i can now keep my tripod plate on the camera and the strap attatches to the plate. So swapping from strap to tripod is a bit easier.

Amazing, wish I bought it ages ago.
I have had this item on my WishList for such a long time, hesitating. £75 seemed a lot of money for a camera strap.I currently have a beautiful Capturing Couture strap, but constantly find myself putting the camera over my shoulder when carrying it and then taking it off in order to take a shot. And whenever I’d bend down, my camera would swing forward. Not good with little ones around.I wish I bit the bullet sooner as the Blackrapid strap is amazing!- I can barely feel the camera on my shoulder (D750 + 24-70 Nikon lens).- I can easily lock the camera into position and it stays put. No more swinging forward.- The camera slides over the strap smoothly when I do want to take a shot.- The camera hangs lens down when not in use. No more bumping into people!- It is easy to take off if I want to shoot from above (through Live View). The only negatives are - having to unscrew the strap every time tripod is used (obviously). It is not as pretty as my current one (I know... :-) )

Best bit of kit for keen photographers
I bought this having seen a professional photographer wearing one. It really is a godsend if like me, you enjoy landscape photography which sometimes means you have to go on long treks in mountains to get that view! I have a Nikon D5300 and have a medium weight lens about 500g and it was a breeze to carry the camera and lens attached. I'm quite short at 5' so the weight of the camera was becoming annoying but since having bought the strap it's no longer an issue.Best bit is that once you've adjusted it to the right length there's still enough give when you need to say bend on one knee to the a photo.Highly recommend the product.

An excellent product
This device has freed up my hands! I have a Canon 7dmk2 and EF300 f2.8 connected to my Black Rapid and it works a treat.I can walk now comfortably for a couple of hours with the set up by my hip and raise the camera as and when needed. The connection to the camera is secure and has a failsafe system built in.

Great piece of kit
Never really trusting the provided neck straps that come with cameras as they aren't very comfortable and offer little in the way of security I have often resorted to a secure hand grip strap, but having now used this strap am converted not only because it lets my shoulders take the starin but gives good freedom of movement and the camera hangs to your side rather than out front. Ok it's a little bit expensive but once you try it I doubt you will settle for less

One of the best straps on the market
Would be better with a manual explaining the features and tips for wearingThe camera base attachment tends to loosen with heavy cameras be sure you tighten every time you useThe safety strap for extra security remains a mystery

First impressions
Just getting back into my photography after a few years out, and it is the little things that annoy me, like camera straps. This is well made, and works a lot better than a neck strap, or as I used to do, a neck strap over my right shoulder.I think I should probably have got the Sport with a wider pad, and not the Curve, but this one was on offer at the time. The Brad strap (apparently named because it goes under your pit) isn't long enough for me. I've got quite big shoulders after spending too much of my youth in the gym, and too much time since adding a layer of insulation. The strap really needs to be a few cm longer to fit ex rugby players. I would imagine for most people it would be ok, but it would be nice if they offered a longer version. Not 100% sure I would use it anyway - having removed it completely it still feels secure. It does come with a tetherI might end up getting the tripod plate at some point. I just wish it was cheaper! It seems that everything BlackRapid is expensive.

Fragile
This camera stap is quite sturdy, unfortunately the 'lockstar' clip broke within a year, and will cost £14 to replace after amazon refused to send a new part.

Best camera strap you can buy
I have tried a few different sling type straps and this is by far the best. Sturdy construction and very comfortable.
