I saw some reviews where people had trouble putting these in, but I had no trouble at all. It was super-easy to cut them to size and put them on. I just stuck my nail in at one end to separate the 2 sides and stuck that end onto the vent, then pushed it on all the way across. My vents in the center are a bit longer than the ones on the sides, and I was able to cut one strip for each one out of a single piece of trim and have a little left over. I only used 8 strips of the 20, not sure if I'll find another use for the rest or give them to a friend. I love how they look, the purple is a gorgeous color and just adding them made my boring Subaru interior so much more aesthetically pleasing! I also got the little butterfly vent clips on here and was able to fit them over the strips. One tip: when you cut the strips for the part of the vent that has the handle to move it side to side, move it all the way to the side before you cut the strip to make sure the strip won't limit how it moves.

Love the look of these in my truck. Easy to cut the material. Good modification for the price.

Easier to install than other reviewers made it seem. A trick is to use scissors or something to wedge it open, pop one end on, then with one hand, sort of bend it backwards slightly while pushing it on with the other hand. Bending it back kind of helps easily open it up without having to use any force. Used it in all my vents and still had several strips leftover, so you should have plenty even if you cut them wrong and need back ups. Happy I got them!**edit**The sun has lightened the color significantly and they appear pink now instead of purple, which I don't like. Bummer, they were great but the color change is enough to knock off a star.

Do not recommend turns colors. Red turn to orange when sunlight hit.
