Hunter Fan Company, 53393, 52 inch Bennett Matte Black Low Profile Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit and Handheld Remote

We installed the fan in about an hour. The set up is very straight forward, especially if you’ve ever had another fan. Our old draw chain fan died and we opted for this one because we wanted a remote to avoid the draw chain failing. In the reviews, you will find lots of people complaining about the beep noise coming from the fan every time you press a button on the remote. I could see this being a bad thing in the bedroom, but I actually don’t mind it in the living room. The beep isn’t much louder than a typical alarm clock beep. The fan comes with a blade balancing kit, which we had to use (the video is right after I got it balanced). I would suggest a replacement Edison LED bulb with higher lumens because the bulb it comes with is low lumens (not very bright). We bought the CR 4000K, 12 W, 1200 Lumens Edison bulb on Amazon. We will probably be ordering a second one! : )

Fan was a bit of a challenge for my husband to install but it is a beautiful, sturdy ceiling fan. I was concerned with the color of the lamp shade based on other reviews but it is just smoky enough in color

This fan and light is absolutely beautiful. I purchased it in March, we installed it in May and it has stopped working as of mid August. I am disappointed to say the least. It may be as simple as a remote problem but regardless...it is the middle of August and our ceiling fan won't turn on. When it did work, it was great. I'm currently waiting on the seller to reply. Hopefully we can come up with a so?Union as we are past our Amazon return date. I will update once I hear back with a solution.

The item came dented. Has grinding sound. The remote does not work and rte fan is set on lowest setting. Definitely not an open box used.

This is great looking fan. Works good, noise non-existent. Note, this does not work with an external dimmer.. So, one star off. In general terms, easy to install but there's an important tip I learned the hard way. Before you install this to the ceiling, lay the contents on the floor and screw in the screws for the motor housing to the bracket, and also the screws that attach the blades to the motor, as a way of testing and ensuring that they go in and out easily. I found that either the screws or the holes are not 100% clean and very hard to screw them in and needs quite a bit of hand and arm strength. If you first attach the fan to the ceiling, and then try to mount the screws, it's EXTREMELY difficult to overcome screw problems you may have, which can lead to stripped screw head or grooves, at which point, the problem becomes much bigger than it needs to be. Oh, and do not use a drill and use manual screwdriver.

Bought this to replace a fan that was entirely too small for the size of my master bedroom. It was my first time installing a fan and the instructions were pretty good. All the mistakes came from me not reading carefully enough. The only part I didn’t understand right away, the instructions had a link to a YouTube video that immediately made it make sense. Don’t be alarmed like I was when it doesn’t come on after flipping the light switch - use the remote. The fan is dead silent, even on the highest setting. The only sound you’ll hear is the sound of the air moving, not the fan itself.My only criticism is that, while not completely clear, the glass housing is not as dark as it looks in the pictures.

Although the lights are not very bright it does have enough light. I am happy I don't have to climb a ladder to clean out a bowl. I like the speeds.

Well made, easy to install, silent and does a great job moving circulating the air. Love the look too.
