My male Rottie is 21 months old and a sweet gentle dog. He weighs 100 pounds of pure muscle. The only time a muzzle is NECESSARY is for trips to the vet when nail clipping is needed. He is NOT A FAN!Now, about the muzzle. Without hyperbole I say it’s perfect for my guy.There are two features that set this muzzle in a category of its own. One is the loop on the top the other is the loop on the bottom. These two loops serve as stabilizers and anchors. The collar doesn’t come with it but I HIGHLY recommend buying a collar and use it. I bought the one that fits the mini Educator e collar. That collar works well because it’s the right width and the entire collar has punched holes making it very easy to adjustAs for the fit?I did exactly as instructed I measured him and ordered a size 4.To get him use to it I put a little oil on the inside front so he would want to put his nose in to lick it off. It worked every time. I did this for a couple of weeks not every day but about every other. Also, I hung it by the back door and every time we’d go out I’d lift it and say want a treat? Then I’d give him a treat if he touched his nose to it. I bought it in May 2022.I had him wear it around the house and on a couple of walks to see if it was comfortable.He was fine in every way.lToday June 8,2022 I used it for the first time for a vet visit for nail clipping. It worked like a charm. It was strong enough when he resisted, fit very well ( he couldn’t bite or bark) and he wore it comfortably for 4 hours ( supervised the entire time). He was able to breathe freely without stress or discomfort. The vet and I agree it was a major success!I can’t say how durable it is because I’ve only had it a month.I hope this helps others. I had a difficult time finding the perfect muzzle. After buying and trying others THIS ONE is by far the top WINNER!

This is the second time I've ordered from here and both times I ordered the largest size. The largest (size 6) for my Great Pyrenees, and largest for my Pyrenees mix, whos a bit smaller, and then a size 3 this time for the mix. I went by the size chart and measured both of my dogs snouts both times i ordered, just to make sure i got everything right. The one I ordered, this one specifically for (the first time i ordered) my Pyrenees mix, he fell between sizes, so I went up one, like suggested. It was way too big and missing the strap that connects to the collar. We went ahead and kept it because it does fit our other dog (pure Pyrenees) and doesn't hurt to have a back up. Well, the mix ate the pure Pyrenees's muzzle off of his face because he didn't have one to stop him.... Which brings us to the second order..... We got the biggest size again because my pure Pyrenees is a giant. To our surprise (again after measuring everything), it was too small.... now, I figured he grew quite a bit and that has to be it (hes not even a year old yet, but again i measured). That was until I got the one we still had from the last order and compared them. Imagine the annoyance we faced when these two exact SAME sized muzzles, were in fact not the same size as one another. In fact, I couldn't even buckle it on his head, where the other, he 100% still fits.Now for the second one we ordered and received today.... We ordered a 3 for our mix this time around. After (again) measuring his snout. He was in between and we decided this time, because it was so HUGE on him the last time to size down instead. This time it was so small, that it didn't even fit on our pit bull mix. Her snout is much smaller then a full blooded pit bull, length and width. Much smaller then a husky/boarder collie, which is what the recommended bread is for the size 3. Instead, at best, I'd say it would fit a corgi comfortably.Luckily, we kept the one from the first order and the "largest" muzzle from THIS order fits our mix, so we won't actually go without, with a little bit of rigging for a strap, but I would definitely not recommend buying these unless you feel like going back and forth or throwing your money away. I know we won't be back!

As a veterinarian, I try to help owners find products that will help keep them and their pet as well as others safe when they go for walks, enter stressful environments or want to prevent adverse animal interactions. Occasionally cage muscles that are soft well fitting are needed. They can drink, pants, breathe and open their mouths fully inside these muzzles. They can simply prevent them from Putting things they shouldn't eat, things they shouldn't bite or stopping them from chewing on themselves… If your pet is used to wearing muscles without complaint, these are fine. They are very soft flexible and giving. Unfortunately should your dog decide to try to get it off, these do not hold up well with a little front foot toenail action they can break the rim that holds the straps in place. Unfortunately that makes muscles virtually useless, so you must watch your pet and make sure they are a custom to wearing a muzzle before you try to utilize this one. all muscles can be ripped broken and turn off the head if used in properly. Overall these are good quality muscles at a fraction of the price and are a good investment if this is the type of product you need.

I like the material of this product. It is not hard on my pup if rubbing on her snout. My pup can still pant and eat treats with this muzzle. Great product.

I got this to put on my 90 lb dog before taking him in the vet. I put it on him a few times at home prior to going (for a minute or two), just to get him used to it. It went on easily, and was easy to adjust. I liked that he could pant while wearing this harness, as it seemed more humane. I put it on him in the car when we got to the vet, and before I could get him out, he started grabbing it with his paws and pulling his head back. Next thing I knew, the strap had snapped in half and the muzzle was hanging below his face, positively useless. Perhaps leather straps would work better for crazy dogs like mine. Other than that, it seemed to be just what I needed. Shame it didn't at least last thru the vet visit.

My dog hated the Baskerville but was very willing to accept this one. It has a softer material and fits well

I like the initial quality of the muzzles but getting the right size the first time would be pure luck. Ive bought 2 in the same week following their instructions only to receive muzzles that don't fit. First one was way too big, size number 5. Second one is tiny and its size 3. I wanted number 4 originally but the recommendations made me go a size larger based on what I read in the listing but because size 5 is huge I figured 4 would be too big as well. The dogs nose is 10cm long and 12" around measured just like in the pics with his mouth closed. Of course I need the one size thats in between the two Ive already bought. Im just going to buy a velcro one at a local pet store like I should've in the first place. Sending these back doesn't make financial sense unfortunately.

Leider zu klein, obwohl ich die Schnauze meines Hundes ausgemessen habe. 😕 habe es verschenkt. Ansonsten ist der Maulkorb von der Qualität in Ordnung. Preis/ Leistung absolut okay!
